Former White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel suffered a major legal setback in his quest to become Chicago’s next mayor, but he said Monday, “I have no doubt that we will in the end prevail at this effort.”

Emanuel must establish his residency before voters can elect him. A state appellate court just ruled against him (as David Sirota tweeted, “Financial Industry Cyborg Thrown Off Chicago Mayoral Ballot”), but Emanuel plans to appeal to the state Supreme Court.
