We don’t have the full picture yet on the lineup of candidates revving up to race for the White House in 2012, even from the GOP camp, which has already kicked into high campaigning gear. A certain governor of a big state that is famously not to be messed with, for example, may still enter the fray.

Yes, it’s Texas Gov. Rick Perry, who has some significant conservative Christian backing to add oomph to a possible presidential run. But can he make Mitt Romney (or President Obama, for that matter) sweat at this stage? His people are apparently looking to find that out right about now. –KA
