During the primary, both Hillary Clinton and McCain championed a gas tax holiday widely disparaged by economists. Obama took the high ground — and let everyone know. Doing the right thing turned out to be the right thing, politically.
Watching Obama’s response to this latest non-controversy, we wonder if this isn’t a great opportunity to make his opponent look ridiculous.
