In the spirit of the holidays, television icon Norman Lear—on his podcast “All of the Above—is re-airing his two-part interview with Truthdig Editor in Chief Robert Scheer. The two delve into politics after World War II, how Lear revolutionized television and today’s political and cultural climate.

Lear also recaps his time at the Kennedy Center Honors, where he was named an honoree earlier this month. The taping of the ceremony aired on CBS on Tuesday.
