Last week, we recognized Shoshana Hebshi, a self-described half-Arab, half-Jewish mother from the Midwest, who had the courage to blog about her experience traveling on the anniversary of 9/11, bringing to light the truth about where America stands on racial profiling 10 years after the twin towers fell. The honorable mention went to musician Ry Cooder, whose new album is a commentary on current economic times and the ethics behind what got us here.
