Last week, we recognized Dorli Rainey, 84, who faced off with police at Occupy Seattle and got a faceful of pepper spray. In case you missed the viral photos of Rainey recovering from her run-in with the SPD, we published an excerpt from the “Democracy Now!” broadcast that showed those stills, along with a substantial and very savvy interview with the retired schoolteacher and activist. “It is getting progressively worse,” she says, “our freedoms are getting curtailed.”
