Truthdig Editor in Chief Robert Scheer and the other “Left, Right & Center” panelists see Hillary Clinton and Donald Trump marching toward the general election. Can they make themselves more likable to Americans who are rejecting elites?

“Trump’s favorability is already extraordinarily terrible,” says Republican pollster Kristen Soltis Anderson. That’s “the only thing stopping Hillary Clinton’s very high unfavorability from making her path to the White House very difficult.”

Rich Lowry of the National Review, who came out against Trump during the primary season, has said he will wait to let the dust settle before he supports a candidate for the general election. And Scheer says Trump and Bernie Sanders have tapped into a majority view in this country that the system is broken and favors the elite.

The discussion is hosted by Josh Barro of Business Insider.
