When it comes to pointing out the incongruities and hypocrisies of conservative political rhetoric, Jon Stewart is clearly the master.
It appears the main problem the Republicans have with the ad is that by “gloating about it” (or, to use a metaphor Jonah Goldberg brought up, spiking the football) in a campaign spot, the president is “politicizing” the event. Something, of course, the Republicans would never dream of doing, right? Cue Stewart. –TEB
