‘I Will Be the Nominee for My Party,’ Hillary Clinton Declares (Video)
In an interview with CNN, the former secretary of state also discussed party unification and noted that she and Bernie Sanders have followed “the same rules.”In an interview Thursday with CNN’s Chris Cuomo, Hillary Clinton demonstrated her absolute self-confidence, calling herself the Democratic nominee for president. While many in the media have focused on Clinton’s plans for competing with presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump, there has been little comment about her assertive statement seen in the portion of the interview below.
Many Bernie Sanders supporters argue that a Sanders nomination is still possible—if he can sway superdelegates by winning big in the California primary on June 7.
There has also been increased criticism on the role of delegates and superdelegates in choosing the nominees for both parties during this heated election season. “The name of the game is how many delegates you have, right?” Clinton says in the interview.
