TRUTHDIG’S JOURNALISM REMAINS CLEARThe Guardian:
A massive earthquake has hit central Chile, killing at least 147 people, the country’s president-elect says.
The 8.8 magnitude quake struck at 0634 GMT about 115km (70 miles) north-east of the city of Concepcion and 325km south-west of the capital, Santiago.
President Michelle Bachelet declared a “state of catastrophe” in affected areas and appealed for calm.
A tsumami set off by the quake has triggered warnings in countries around the Pacific Ocean.
The storytellers of chaos tried to manipulate the political and media narrative in 2025, but independent journalism exposed what they tried to hide.
When you read Truthdig, you see through the illusion.
