The socialist leader has not disclosed the type of cancer, but revealed he had a tumor removed and is taking chemotherapy.
In a tweet Monday, Chavez wrote “Buenos días Mundo Feliz! Buenos días Venezuela Bella!! Desde aquí, listo para otro dia de BatallaPorLaVida.Viviremos y Venceremos! LosAmo!!” Or, according to the BBC’s translation: “Good morning Happy World! Good morning beautiful Venezuela! From here, ready for another day of the battle for life. We will live and win!
