Tracy Bloom, Assistant Editor
Tracy Bloom left broadcast news to study at USC’s Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism. There she eventually became deputy editor of Neon Tommy, the most-trafficked online-only college website in the United States. It was at Neon Tommy that she started the award-winning Politics Today, a daily blog that combined her interests in media and politics (and Jon Stewart and Stephen Colbert). After graduating with a master’s degree in communication management, she joined Truthdig as an editorial assistant. She says her passion is to use journalism as a tool for public good.
