Apparently America’s truck drivers aren’t immune to the siren call of text messaging from time to time, as Transportation Secretary Ray LaHood has had to specifically address the driving and texting issue among truckers and bus drivers with a new prohibition on the practice.
Despite any illusions some of us may still harbor about our manual dexterity and multitasking prowess behind the wheel, a study conducted by the Virginia Tech Transportation Institute has found that text messaging and driving really don’t mix. Surprise.
