In a moving White House ceremony today, President Hu Jintao of China presented U.S. President Barack Obama with a counterfeit DVD of the Hollywood blockbuster “Toy Story 3.”

Queen Elizabeth began a toast on Tuesday by teasing the president: “I wondered whether I should start this toast saying I was here in 1776, but I don’t think I will.” Though she has since departed our shores, the British monarch is not done teaching Americans a lesson—her carbon footprint for the trip will be calculated and matched with a donation to an environmental charity.

Here the president’s Freudian slip is caught on tape in all its awkwardness. Also, it turns out Bush had to be prodded by Condoleezza Rice and wife Laura into making the state dinner a “white tie” affair. Apparently the idea that dinner with the queen should be a formal occasion escaped the man.
