Celeb-Fest 2009 Continues in Washington

If Sunday’s concert extravaganza, featuring such boldfaced musical acts as U2 (channeling U2 from 25 years ago), Stevie Wonder and Mary J. Blige, didn’t provide enough glitz for one inaugural bash, several dozen of their celebrity peers are following the spotlight to Washington, D.C., to join in the festivities.

Newsroom Carnage Continues at The Washington Post

This just in: The Washington Post is the latest major newspaper to undergo the apparently inevitable newsroom downsizing process, clearing out 100 more journalists with a “blunt instrument,” as former Post (and former New York Times) writer Sharon Waxman reports in her WaxWord blog. “The Washington Post as I know it has jumped the shark,” Waxman laments.
