The Good-Natured Dictator

No movie dedicated to Kim Jong Il can be all bad. On the other hand, “The Dictator,” the product of Sacha Baron Cohen, cannot be all good either.

Sacha Baron Cohen’s ‘Dictator’ Act Not Welcome at the Oscars

This year, Sacha Baron Cohen can thank the Academy Awards for giving his latest politically flavored comedy, “The Dictator,” some excellent free publicity. Not that he didn’t engineer it himself.

‘The Dictator’ Meets the Super Bowl

Say what you will about Sacha Baron Cohen’s ribald and untoward brand of comedy, but he has at least one thing going for him in his latest big-screen venture, “The Dictator”: good timing. Speaking of which, here’s a glimpse of what Super Bowl ad-watchers will see from Baron Cohen’s camp this Sunday.

Baron Cohen Rides Again in ‘The Dictator’

Is it too soon? It never seems to be for British prankophile Sacha Baron Cohen, whose summer 2012 cinematic effort, “The Dictator,” goofs on certain global leaders who may or may not still be with us. What’s With the Pinkface, Fellas?

Vanity Fair’s Brett Berk has detected a mini-pattern playing out in the film world, starring (but certainly not limited to) “Brüno,” Sacha Baron Cohen’s latest attempt at biting social satire. It’s “Pinkface”—or the cinematic phenomenon in which straight guys play gay by way of trying to “lay claim to homosexuality as a ‘topic’” with less-than-stellar results, judging by Berk’s sum-up of the situation.

Brüno Blitzes Conan O’Brien

Sacha Baron Cohen’s latest cultural satire is upon us—and the host of the “Tonight Show.” Conan O’Brien does his best, but all the lap-dancing and Kugel-staring is just too much for him to bear. [Update: Video fixed]

‘Bruno’ Tricks Ex-Mossad Spy

Sacha Baron Cohen is already notorious for his alter ego Borat, and now, fortunately for his career (and unfortunately for those who get caught in his comedic cross hairs), he has another invented personality—Austrian fashionista Bruno—who just pulled one over on former Mossad agent Yossi Alpher.
