But, as The Washington Post’s Howard Kurtz notes, his act hasn’t always scored with network bigwigs or with fellow heavies from the right-wing media world.

It’s not pretty, but then, neither are many of the statements Limbaugh has emitted over the course of his storied broadcasting career.

Let it be known that MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann is not a fan of Massachusetts Sen.-elect Scott Brown. In turn, let it be known that Jon Stewart is not pleased by Olbermann’s apparent descent into “the fetid swamp of baseless name-calling”—except, that is, for his creatively crass description of Rush Limbaugh.

Rush Limbaugh’s not one to miss an opportunity to diss the Obama administration, and in his latest class act the conservative radio impresario was nothing if not consistent. Not only did Limbaugh warn against sending money to Haiti via the White House, he also used American racial politics to explain the president’s impulse to help. What’s more, he seemed to suggest that listeners not donate to Haiti at all—although he denied later that this was his intention.
