Islamists Dominate Egyptian Elections

Candidates from Islamist parties—the Freedom and Justice and Al-Nour—took two-thirds of the 478 seats, which means they will have a large say in determining the country’s new constitution. Revolutionary groups led by those who played a pivotal role in toppling Hosni Mubarak took only seven seats.
