When Sen. Bernie Sanders, I-Vt., asked the National Security Agency if it is spying or has ever spied on Congress, the response he got was noncommittal.
Thankfully, there are still a few political leaders who remember the wisdom of the founders in designing a system that properly limits governmental power.
The president knew. Presidents always know, but are supposed to be protected from what they saw, heard and did when the best-laid plans hit the fan.
