Despite the principal’s plea to not report the attack, the victim filed charges against the basketball player out of fear he would strike again. Those fears were confirmed just two weeks later when he is said to have sexually assaulted another student. The story gets even more heartbreaking as it progresses.

A gunman went on a shooting rampage in a high school in downtown Cleveland on Wednesday. The gunman, who aimed shots at several people before killing himself, had apparently made threats at SuccessTech Academy last week. According to Cleveland Mayor Frank Jackson, three teenagers and two adults were injured.

The high school course on the Bible’s influence on society would be an elective. story It’s such an obvious end run around the Constitution’s Establishment Clause that we’ll hold fire. But check this: The course textbook contains a boxed feature that shows how the Bible was used “to justify and even encourage anti-Semitism.” Wow! A whole boxed feature? We wonder if there’s a footnote about that whole Spanish Inquisition thing….
