‘Over-Friendly’ Foley

Apparently House Speaker Dennis Hastert and a crew of GOP leaders and aides knew of Foley’s inappropriate conduct as early as last fall, when aides referred the matter to authorities. According to the aides, they were only aware that the messages were “over-friendly”.... Hmmmm, when was the last time you reported a colleague to the authorities for being “over-friendly”?

JonBenet Confession May Be Bunk

UPDATE: Authorities are questioning the veracity of the supposed confession described below.
John Mark Karr, a 41-year-old schoolteacher, has admitted to kidnapping and killing JonBenet Ramsey.  The surprise confession comes after 10 years of dead-ends and false accusations in a mystery that gripped the American imagination?and airwaves.
UPDATE: Thai authorities said Karr told them he drugged and had sex with the child, and then realized he had “accidentally” killed her.

Slain Lebanese Children Fuel Arab Fury

Images of Lebanese children killed by Israeli missiles, like the one above, were being broadcast almost nonstop on all Arab-language satellite channels on Sunday. The pictures have splashed gasoline on the flames of international outrage directed not only at Israel but also at America, Egypt, Saudi Arabia and Jordan—all of which in effect condoned Israel’s actions at the start of the hostilities.
Update: Israel said it bombed Qana because “it was a base for hundreds of rockets launched at Israel, including 40 that injured five Israelis on Sunday. Israel said it had warned civilians several days before to leave the village. ... “Hezbollah is using their own civilian population as human shields,” said Israeli Foreign Ministry official Gideon Meir.”

Judge Orders Google to Turn Over Some Data
