Although Norquist’s name seems to be everywhere these days, many know little about the man whose tax pledge is virtually holding the “fiscal cliff” budget negotiations hostage.
Rep. Scott Rigell, breaking ranks with establishment Republicans, has criticized the Taxpayer Protection Pledge of anti-tax hound Grover Norquist (right). Legislators who sign the document promise not to back a tax increase under any circumstances.

Republicans have their biggest statehouse majority in more than 80 years, and they’re taking orders from a man who wants to take government and “drown it in the bathtub.”
The money is funneled through (surprise, surprise) Jack Abramoff and Grover Norquist. This scandal couldn’t happen to any two nicer two guys.
