Stephanie Kelton, Contributor
Dr. Kelton is an internationally recognized scholar and an Associate Professor of Economics at the University of Missouri-Kansas City. She holds a Ph.D. from the New School for Social Research and an M.Phil. from Cambridge University. She is Creator, Editor and Contributor at a top-ranked economics blog called New Economic Perspectives. Stephanie is a macro economist specializing in: monetary policy, government finance, social security, European Monetary Union (EMU) and employment policy. In 2001, she published a book that predicted the crisis in the Eurozone, and she has published dozens of articles in peer-reviewed journals, many working papers, and chapters and entries in numerous books. Some of her work has appeared in: Cambridge Journal of Economics, Journal of Economic Issues, Journal of Post Keynesian Economics, Review of Social Economics, International Journal of Political Economy, and Challenge Magazine. Professor Kelton is also a small business owner and a past President of the WEET-Institute, a non-profit interested in advancing environmental technology in poor, African countries. She is a Research Scholar at the Levy Economics Institute at Bard College and the Director of Graduate Student Research at the Center for Full Employment and Price Stability (C-FEPS).
