Ivo Mijnssen holds an MA in Eastern European History and Sociology from the University of Basel, Switzerland. He worked as a resercher in the Swiss National Science Foundation’s project “Democracy and the Nation in Russia” and wrote numerous scientific articles on memory and memory politics in contemporary Russia. He is currently working as a freelance journalist.
