Originally from California, Clara Romeo graduated with honors from Howard University in Washington, D.C. Her main interest is journalism and she was the editor of Sterling Notes, a literary publication of the university’s English department. Romeo is also passionate about sociological and anthropological research, as she has worked with the Nicodemus collection, an exhibition that will be a permanent part of the Smithsonian National Museum of African American History and Culture and various topics on environmental justice.
