Carol Tavris

Carol Tavris is the writer, teacher, lecturer and co-author (with Elliot Aronson) of “Mistakes Were Made (But Not by Me): Why we justify foolish beliefs, bad decisions, and hurtful acts”, which appeared in paperback in 2008. Tavris is a Fellow of the American Psychological Association and a Charter Fellow of the Association for Psychological Science. She has been awarded with the 2014 Media Achievement Award from SPSP and an honorary doctorate from Simmons college in 2013 as well as many other honors.
