Iran and Israel: Only Half the Story

In the brief interview he gave NBC before the Super Bowl, President Obama declared, “I’ve been very clear that we’re going to do everything we can to prevent Iran from getting a nuclear weapon, and creating an arms race, a nuclear arms race, in a volatile region.” Sounds like a very laudable goal, right? Barry M. Lando, a graduate of Harvard and Columbia University, spent 25 years as an award-winning investigative producer with 60 Minutes. The author of numerous articles about Iraq, he produced a documentary about Saddam Hussein that has been shown around the world. He has also written a book on Iraq, “Web of Deceit: The History of Western Complicity in Iraq, from Churchill to Kennedy to George W. Bush.”  Lando is just finishing a novel,  “The Shomer Dossier,” which goes back to the 1930’s and links between major U.S. corporations and the Nazis, then comes up to today, following an American TV correspondent as he tries to uncover Israel’s most closely-guarded secret (it’s not the bomb).
