AP / Eric Gay

The Transocean Deepwater Discoverer drilling rig, center, and support vessels operate over the site of the Deepwater Horizon oil spill on Sunday.

By Robert Scheer

What’s with the president’s war analogy on the oil spill? It’s as if some alien force, “The Invasion of the Slippery Sludge,” suddenly attacked us. “Abroad, our brave men and women in uniform are taking the fight to al-Qaida,” President Barack Obama said Tuesday in his White House speech, “and tonight, I’ve returned from a trip to the Gulf Coast to speak with you about the battle we’re waging against an oil spill that is assaulting our shores and our citizens.”

What nonsense. The oil was minding its own business until some multinational corporations, enabled by a dysfunctional government regulatory regime, decided to wage war on the ecological balance of the oceans by employing technology that they were not prepared to control. Cleaning up the oil spill mess we made by raping the environment to satiate our consumer gluttony is not a glorious battle against evil but rather obligatory penance for the profound error of our ways.

You wound Mother Nature by punching a hole deep in her pristine ocean where you have no business going and when she bleeds uncontrollably you dare blame her for the assault? This from a president who shortly before this disaster had given the oil companies permission to pillage in the deep seas at will. At least now he admits to having been extremely naive in his belief that they knew what they were doing:

“A few months ago, I approved a proposal to consider new, limited offshore drilling under the assurance that it would be absolutely safe—that the proper technology would be in place and the necessary precautions would be taken. That obviously was not the case on the Deepwater Horizon rig, and I want to know why.”

He already knows why! It’s the same ideological obsession that led to the deregulation of the banking industry based on the assumption that the unfettered pursuit of multinational corporation profits would somehow serve the public good. In every area of federal governance the story is the same; the mammoth corporations, through their lobbyists and campaign contributions, end up controlling the government agencies ostensibly regulating the activities of the military/industrial, health, financial and communications complexes. Why be surprised that the oil conglomerates are also in bed with their pretend Washington regulators?

Obviously Obama cannot be blamed for the bipartisan endorsement of the Reagan Revolution’s siren song, a call to make the world safe for multinational corporations. The radical anti-regulation campaign—endorsed by Bill Clinton as well as the father-and-son Bush team—corrupted rather than improved the efficiency of the entire private sector, and what happened with the oil industry was the rule and not the exception.

Square, Site wide
In explaining the failure of the Minerals Management Service, responsible for regulating the oil drillers, Obama stated: “Over the last decade, this agency has become emblematic of a failed philosophy that views all regulation with hostility—a philosophy that says corporations should be allowed to play by their own rules and police themselves. At this agency, industry insiders were put in charge of industry oversight. Oil companies showered regulators with gifts and favors, and were essentially allowed to conduct their own safety inspections and write their own regulations.”

That damning indictment of the corporate corruption of our political process should stand as a cautionary tale to those like the majority in those red states now suffering so because of the offshore drilling of which their voters previously approved. Hopefully they, and the president who catered to such impulses, will take away from this very costly mess a justifiable skepticism about the risk assessments of plunderers who treat natural treasures as nothing more than potential profit centers.

The public goes along because, as with the jobs created by military spending and the false wealth of financial bubbles, it is blinded by lavishly funded corporate PR to the true costs of such reckless corporate behavior. It is understandable that folks struggling to get by would fall for that line, but it is inexcusable when the political elite in Washington that know better goes along with such chicanery.

The war that needs to be fought and won is against corporate dominance of every important aspect of our political culture. I hope this disaster, its impact revised upward by the government on Tuesday to represent an Exxon Valdez-size spill of oil into the Gulf every four days, will facilitate that. The difference between the new estimate, 60,000 barrels of oil a day, and BP’s original claim of 5,000 barrels a day is just another example of the systemic corporate deceit that has characterized this immense catastrophe. This is the wakeup call to fight corporate arrogance that we, and our president, desperately needed.

2010 is indeed a very fast paced year; first of August, the U.S World Banksters and Big Oil are at War against the American People and entering into World domination with World War Three.

World Banksters and Big Oil prosper on chaos as they throw everyone else into the fire.

The Gulf oil well flow is under total secrecy. The 40% mixture of Methane and Benzene is escaping into the upper strata, forming an explosive bubble.

The 111 Congress and Obama just authorized 80 billion for the escalation of the War in Pakistan and Afghanistan.

The 111 Congress just authorized Israel to attack Iran.

Obama and Field Marshall Clinton sent a fleet of War ships to defend “Oil” interest on China’s doorstep with a double dare. (The U.S World Banksters have a new generation of space age science weapons that make nuclear weapons obsolete; the bullies are just dying to show them off)

Columbian troops and the CIA are amassing troops on the Venezuelan border while the U.S is massing forces in Costa Rica. Obama has stationed troops in 54 countries in the World.

World Bankster President Obama and the corrupt 111 Congress is the enemy to the American people, our Democracy, Independence and our Constitution.

Button-hole every 111 Congress Senator and every Representative on their home ground during their summer break and demand of them to explain their Treason behavior.

The Traitors are not accounted for in Washington but they can be accounted for in their home districts; bring them to accountability.

“I still you’re getting hung up on Conservatism as being evil.” —BR549 July 29 1:58 pm

Conservatism equally laced with Liberalism isn’t evil, but it is evil for Conservatism to contend for Conservatism to the exclusion of Liberalism, because Conservatism without Liberalism is evil; it takes both Conservatism and Liberalism to make a whole and the Ship of State currently is listing to Conservatism’s Right, as all the Conservative ballast in the ship has slid to the Right side and the ship is desperately in need of Liberal ballast to bring the Ship of State upright before it takes on more Conservative ballast and sinks.

Conservatism’s Right Wing is trying to cut off the Liberal Left Wing of the Eagle, which must not be allowed to happen.  For Conservatives to contend for only Conservatism, totally excluding Liberalism, as Right-Wing Conservative propagandists purport in the media on a daily basis, especially on the FOX News Network, is very EVIL.

President Obama is trying to right the ship, but there is so much Conservative ballast that he can’t move it all at once, but he has moved some and the ship is still listing but not as much.  President Obama will do better if the populace can get together and manage to balance the Congressional ballast.

Lawrence,
Feel free to utilize whatever I have written .... if it works for you. Who cares
about plagiarism as long as it gets the word out to people about what is
actually happening?

I think you and many others feel the same way; I just occasionally throw the
right words together from time to time to make things sound a bit more
cohesive. You’ve done the same here, too.

Where our battle really lies is with the mindset that the main stream media has
left with our friends, family, and neighbors, who are still clutching desperately
to whatever informational life preservers they can find. There are a number of
other civilized sites such as this one, where the people are slowly getting the
message out to those others still clinging the their life preservers. We just have
to keep the pressure on and remember one thing; that we all have far more in
common than not, and whatever petty differences we might banter over on lists
such as this, we all have the Constitution as a “marriage document” of sorts, so
I guess we’re stuck with each other.  :o)

I disagree. What you are looking for, and I believe is certainly possible, is that
sense of “noblesse oblige”. The more holistic understanding of these people,
few as they may be, is that they have a responsibility to those less fortunate,
and that those in the lower ranks make it possible for them to be where they
are. It’s about having a conscience and integrity, and for the last 200 years,
we’ve gone progressively downhill under the incessant pressure of offshore
banking.

When those clowns in Congress decide to mysteriously grow a conscience, it
will be at THAT point that it wouldn’t make any difference what form of
government we had because as long as people are recognized as individual
sovereigns, they will always have power over their government. The problem IS
that our own government does NOT RECOGNIZE the sovereign rights of other
countries, so why should it waste its time dicking around with the petty
citizenry in its own country?

Now, even politicians are recognized more and more as potential threats to
national security when their true loyalties run, not with the Unites States of
America, but with Halliburton, Monsanto, and Goldmann-Sachs, and one
doesn’t have to be a professed Conservative for that to happen.

Joseph P. Kennedy once said in 1930, during the height of the Great
Depression, “...... in the next generation the people who run the government
will be the biggest people in America.”  And I would only add that that
mentality has no political boundary.

I still you’re getting hung up on Conservatism as being evil. It isn’t. However,
the vast majority of those espousing Conservatism have fallen victim to
corruption and money and have themselves BECOME evil.

All labels aside; Democratic vs. Republican, Progressive vs. Conservative, when
a governmental body’s sole direction becomes the universal welfare of its
populace, it doesn’t make any difference what you call it. As history has proven
time and time again, when those at the top start to sequester power and
knowledge for use by a select few, that system’s days are numbered. It has
happened with virtually every dynasty on the face of the Earth, because the
leaders of all of them made decisions to exclude the masses from the very
power they had stolen.

The fact that the Left is called Democrat doesn’t make it the Left—Liberal is the Left— the Populace is the Left— there are a bunch of Conservatives hanging out in the Democratic Party and the fact that they are called Democrat doesn’t make them the Left.  Governor Dean calls them the Right-Wing of the Democratic Party, which is what they are since they have registered as Democrats. And the fact that the Right is called Republican doesn’t make it the Right—Conservative is the Right— the Millionaire/Billionaire GOP is the Right— there are NO Liberals whatsoever in the Republican Party’s Conservative Base—Republicans have no Liberals defying them, like the Democrats do, all liberals have been weeded out of the Republican Party through the Primaries and Republicans vote lock step Conservative on command when the Conservative EXTREMISTS choose, which is what needs to happen to the Liberals in the Democratic Party.  One or two Republicans will now and they play like they are doing something liberal when there is nothing at stake, but when it looks like the populace might get something, the Conservatives vote with the Conservatives no matter which side of the aisle they are on.

“There can’t be a combination, if both sides are Conservative, there has to be a Liberal Side——the populace isn’t in the mix.”

The American populace faces this dilemma all the time; wondering what set of forces is governing the decisions that are made on the population’s behalf. Just because we have a split in loyalties within the population doesn’t for one minute suggest that the same problem with polarity exists in the legislature.
Except for a small handful of loyal Constitutionalists, the vast majority of legislators have the integrity of a limp carrot, yet the disconnection of the latter from society continues to undermine their purpose for being elected.

In short, YES, the Democrats are in the population, at least as one, including Emerson,  would define a Democrat, but the legislature is filled far too much with those who CLAIM to be Democrats, but actually endorse and live the lifestyle of Conservatism.

If you want to carry this to an extreme, you can say that when a government reaches the ultimate extreme of having 100% Conservatism, what you probably have is a Fascist State! And where are we? Military Industrial Complex has taken over, the prison industry is off the charts, government has taken almost
complete control of business. What would you call that? And more so, how could such a thing have happened with as many “so-called” Democrats voting according to their constituents’ wishes?

You’ve got to get this idea out of your head that the old school teams are going to be lining up at their respective ends of the field for all to see. All those rules have changed, and I think that’s where you’re having trouble. What Emerson said was all true, while the country was ripe with resources and burgeoning industries, and immigrants were piling in to add to the workforce, except that I doubt that Emerson was speaking of a scenario where the majority of politicians were sacking the galley and stealing all the life boats.

From: http://www.colby.edu/personal/r/rmscheck/GermanyD2.html

“To blame the failure of Weimar democracy on the constitution is, in my view, a little unfair. With genuine will to make it work, the constitution could function well in different ways. Without democratic will, however, any constitution will have problems to survive.”

And that, Martha, is where we’re at. The politicians have abandoned any faith in the Constitution they swore to protect and have instead chosen to save their own asses; both Republicans AND Democrats.

Martha,
Emerson was a nice, albeit long, read, but I’ll use his own words to illustrate
my point, “Each exposes the abuses of the other, but in a true society, in a true
man, both must combine.”

I hadn’t gone into this aspect here, but the issue here is a classic Isaac/Ishmael argument, where old and new beliefs clash within every person, every transaction, and every relationship. What each of our hard core extremist factions of Judaism/Christianity and Islam fail to realize is that they are both BROTHERS; spiritual siblings, if you will, each one projecting their own level of spiritual immaturity and misunderstanding onto their brother and blaming them for their difficulty or lack of vertical evolution. For peace to happen, it will will take each side to understand why they can’t ascend any further UNTIL they embrace that half of them that has been so abhorrent to them for so long.

It’s like both of these religious factions are two second graders so consumed with hatred and fighting with each other, that neither one makes it to the third grade ....... again and again.

The same is true with Conservatives and Emerson’s Innovators. I think the part that’s confusing you is that while we have a populace that is understandably split over the issues, the good ole’ boy political leaders are all in the ruling class, Reps and Dems. Ted Kennedy, for instance, claimed to protect the rights of the less fortunate (at least on the surface), but I don’t seem to recall his ever having to do without ANYTHING.

I could understand the arrogance of Bush Sr. when he went into a super market and was totally amazed at a UPC Code scanner. The man was functionally inept, yet a silver spoon somehow led him to believe that he was a part of a gene pool that was going to ensure the successful continuation of our species. Could he build a garage, weld, or cook?

But I don’t understand how corrupt democrats like Pelosi and Reid, and to lesser extent Obama, can drape themselves in the party of the people while at the same time living the very same life of the party they claim to despise.

This is what I am getting at. So, while the people within the classes you list are still believing in the separation in political ideologies, our politicians, pretty much as a uniform band of parasites, are all thanking God for the existence of the
lifestyle that the Conservatives embrace. Democratic politicians may claim to be democratic, but after the legislative dust has settled, all their legislation falls far too neatly into a broader scheme of public deception that the Conservatives have embraced all along.

All you need to do is to follow the voting patterns of those on both sides who continued to vote for funding for our prison/security culture and for the continuation of wire tapping and the Patriot Act. This whole mess transcends party lines. Meanwhile, it leaves people down on the bottom arguing why THEIR party is going to provide the best solution. Interesting how the problems never seem to get solved and the government only grows bigger.

NOW, you can bring in the issue of the CAFR and see how the Democratic politicians can actually bullshit their way into your hearts while they allow municipal entities and the government to invest so heavily into private business that they’d make the Conservatives blush. One might expect the Conservatives
to abandon their constituency thus, but for the Democrats, it’s sheer hypocrisy.

BR549, July 27 at 11:27 pm, MarthaA, July 28 at 2:57 am, and BR549, July 28 at 10:53 am,

There is no justification for there to be Political Conservatism without the balance of Liberal innovation, as these are two completely different philosophies that must be balanced and a complex argument to the contrary will not convince anyone other than a fool; but that is what Glenn Beck and his cohorts do daily.

Here is one of the best explanation of Conservatism that exists, “The Conservative” by Ralph Waldo Emerson:
http://www.emersoncentral.com/conservative.htm  Here is a fragment of the speech, please read what Mr. Emerson wrote over and over until it sinks in so that you will not think they are all the same:

“The two parties which divide the state, the party of Conservatism and that of Innovation, are very old, and have disputed the possession of the world ever since it was made. This quarrel is the subject of civil history. The conservative party established the reverend hierarchies and monarchies of the most ancient world. The battle of patrician and plebeian, of parent state and colony, of old usage and accommodation to new facts, of the rich and the poor, reappears in all countries and times. The war rages not only in battle-fields, in national councils, and ecclesiastical synods, but agitates every man’s bosom with opposing advantages every hour. On rolls the old world meantime, and now one, now the other gets the day, and still the fight renews itself as if for the first time, under new names and hot personalities.

Such an irreconcilable antagonism, of course, must have a correspondent depth of seat in the human constitution. It is the opposition of Past and Future, of Memory and Hope, of the Understanding and the Reason. It is the primal antagonism, the appearance in trifles of the two poles of nature.” —Ralph Waldo Emerson, Masonic Temple Lecture December 9, 1841

One of the problem in the United States is that the populace has been and is being pulled entirely too far to the Conservative Right, which is Conservatism, and needs to return to the Left, which is Liberalism to achieve balance, otherwise we are going to go down the rabbit hole of history.

The other problem is that there are three distinct economic and political constituencies:

1) The Elite Capitalist Class that earn at least $1,000,000/year - this Right-Wing Conservative constituency is 10% of the Population and represented by the Republican Party,

2) The Middle Class, the New Class, that earn at least $100,000/year to $1,000,000/year - this Left-Wing Conservative constituency is 20% of the population and is represented by the Democratic Party,  and

3) The Populace that earn up to $100,000/year - this is the 70% liberal constituency of the population, which is heavily scattered out and disseminated, but needs to unite in the Democratic Party; take the Democratic Party over for the 70% Majority Population, the Populace, the Common Population.  This populace constituency is no longer represented in the Congress of the United States because they no longer realize they are the liberal, progressive, innovative constituency of the United States that promotes freedom and equality, and they must come to this understanding if there is ever to be a turn around in our nation that will benefit the 70% majority populace.

Did you read the info about the New Class?  If you are interested in knowing about the New Class, you should read Barbara Ehrenreich’s book, “Fear of Falling”.

There’s more to what is happening in the United States than just squabbling over issues of other constituencies and never receiving any representation for the populace.

Though the Democratic Party isn’t as infiltrated by crypto-fascists like the Republicans it doesn’t matter because they are the ones running it and are the ones who will get elected. Which is why the real deals like Wellstone & Kucinich get assassinated. The former by really dying and the latter by haveing his character killed. Which ever works they will use to get what they want. What is it that they want? No less than the dissolution of our Republic in all its forms, even the inverted totalitarian version they use so well we have had for the past few decades. It is slow, cumbersome, complicated unlike their dream nation-state that will be swift and sure and deadly to all in their path. The Dominionists want a theocratic corporate machine to spread their version of Christianity and economics. Only when they have made the earth “right” will their God come back. So no rapture but wars are in the offing for forever.

What they failed to get directly in 1934, they are getting by the death of a thousand cuts to our Republic, flawed though it is. Party affiliation is less important than what each one stands for. Though the Republicans are a lost cause, only extremists out of the closet there. Too many in the closet in the Democratic party.

As far as monikers, you could switch them around between parties and it wouldn’t change anything. The middle class rich might think themselves justified to vote for Republicans in order to keep what they have before the Democrats give it all away, and why not? But the reason all that was happening was because of piss-poor executive management in allowing both groups of the populace to become so disconnected from feeling unified as being all American. Why else would we take a hawk like Bush to start a war and then use a Democrat to keep us there? These decisions are not made by the people, the people have been pawns.

Somewhere along the line, if enough people realize exactly what has been happening, that’s when they’ll take to the streets and realize that it had been the Corporatocracy Party (CP) that had been siphoning their tax dollars all along to develop this huge system of prisons and security personnel. And don’t think it won’t be messy. It is no reason then why the vast majority of Democrats want to push for gun control. That is “their” job in the Corporatocracy Party, when it has more than sufficiently proven that crime rates drop significantly in areas with LESS gun control.

The Clintons, Gore, and Obama are all neck deep in this, although Obama seems to be far more of the puppet monkey-boy. It’ll be the Clintons and Gore (and of course the Bush entourage of traitors) who steal our country’s wealth from us.

Martha,
We’re going around and around on this.

Look, it really doesn’t make any difference what these people call themselves.
They have to assign themselves some moniker so that those who vote for them
can easily align their philosophical beliefs with a particular candidate who
hopefully represents those beliefs. So, I would caution you not to get too
caught up with party names or descriptions.

It’s my perception that you keep trying to sneak in that Obama is still one of
the good guys (correct me if I’m wrong), but he has done nothing more than
pacify the population with promises and false hopes about change, all the while
doing nothing more than what Bush would have done if he were allowed to
have a third term. Progressive, conservative, liberal; they’re all just names, like
Ford, Chevy, and Oldsmobile. In the case of politics; Pinto, Vega, and Omega;
all shitboxes with no integrity and they never deliver what the salesman
promised.

We don’t have any other means of identifying who is on the side of the voting
public other than by checking their voting records and pinning them down to
the Constitution, Bill of Rights, and state sovereignty. All these names mean
absolutely nothing.

BTW, I had recently found a website with LA Rep. Fleming’s voting record.
Scratch him off the good guy list. Sorry, He supported the Patriot Act AND

Martha,
Grayson is one of the few good guys. NO, I haven’t given up. As I had stated on
another TruthDig article, we should only consider candidates who fully embrace
the Constitution (as it stands) and who support state sovereignty. All the rest of

I have not given up on President Obama, because, although there isn’t a lot, he has done some to help the populace with a Congress that is mostly Conservative and he has only been in office 18 months of the toughest situations anyone could come up against; of course, caused by the Republicans and cooperated with by the Conservative/Moderate Democrats in every administration since Reagan.

I am of the opinion to never give up.  All things are possible, if we will try and do our best to circumvent their corrupt plans.

If you are a Christian, then you know that there is nothing to worry about, but that doesn’t mean that we just give up and let it happen, like many Christians did in Germany, because, like then, it may not be the return of Jesus, as was thought when Hitler’s autocratic, authoritarian regime raged.  We must do all we can do to keep freedom for all the populace instead of freedom for only a few at the top.

There are more of the populace than there are of the corrupt, the populace need to be organized in the populace’s best interest; hopefully some defense organizers of the populace will appear and lead the sheeple in their own defense, before we get stuck with a thousand years of slavery.  It looks like the people of Afghanistan are doing a pretty good job of making their stand, and so can the American people, but our war is NOT against President Obama, but against the Conservative Right-Wing EXTREMISTS.

If the Republicans get back into power, tyranny will get much worse for the populace.

We need a Joan of Arc.  One of the first things that should be done will be to break down all the prisons, and free the prisoners, because the prison populations are now being used for slavery, and corrupt laws are filling the prisons.  It’s relatively easy to become a felon these days.

Knowledge and truth is power and the Comprehensive Annual Financial Report is the last piece of the US and world economy puzzle for me. Now, I have more of a total understanding of how the world criminal banking Empire is economically bound together at the local government corruption level.

I knew about the double books of the Federal Reserve and Treasury fiat money and government employee’s funds and their world investments but I didn’t have the CAFR document as actual proof of the other set of books of the local municipalities.

The banker/government corruption is total down to a local level. I was wondering why they were so quiet; they are running two sets of books.

2010 is the target year for total collapse of Democracy and Totalitarian control of the American People. Think of how fast they are moving since the Supreme Court decision in January.

The days of open internet and civil rights are numbered, buy a gun and join the local militia, revolution is inevitable if you like it or not. Better to go down fighting as a free man than live as a slave.

I was made aware of the CAFR about five years ago by an analyst with the
pharmaceutical sector. He said that the CAFR was nothing more than the huge
derivatives Ponzi Scheme that nearly all the municipalities across the country
raced to get their money into under the guise of sound investment strategies.

I remember this one cocky nitwit from Alabama who was the city’s financial
“wizard”, and all he was interested in was padding things enough to support his
next request for a raise. At what point do we start looking at the options of
malfeasance or misfeasance? This was clearly risky behavior, but only a few

This something I just became aware of:
CAFR stands for Comprehensive Annual Financial Report and it appears to be another humongous shell game being covered up by the govt….(and education & industry???)

The bottom line question is, if true, WHERE IS ALL OF THIS ‘SURPLUS FUNDING’ GOING???  Walter Burien doesn’t seem to say….He just blames ‘THE GOVERNMENT’.

After watching this short clip by Alex Jones, go to the clip with Walter Burien to the lower right.  He is a follower of the Libertarian Mises Austrian Economics theory so keep that in mind.  They essentially blame govt for everything and don’t give a lot of credence to
the global elitists such as the Rothschilds and Tavistock Institute who exercise VAST influence over all major world govts as most of us so well understand.  His premise: All of this is mostly our govt’s fault and they are covertly hoarding vast funds!
Of course his premise is wrong.  Never-the-less, I believe It is extremely crucial that we try to understand the variety of deadly tentacles of these global powers and governments and this is another perspective to place in our quiver and with pursue due diligence.

Martha,

As far as the Democrats representing the “populace”, that is up to debate.
Traditionally, or at least as far back as most of US can remember, we were all
taught that Republicans represented big business, while the Democrats
represented “the people”.

But back during the early 1800s, as the Whigs and Tories were finding their
new colonial counterparts, it turns out that the Republicans actually
represented the interests of the farmers and those working stiffs who relied on
the worldly wisdom of their elected politicians. The Democrats, or how they
were more early represented, were citizens who didn’t want to have their
politicians making decisions too far above the scope of the average citizens
understanding.

Both of these parties have morphed into the political chimera we have today,
and any one of them could reassess their motives in getting back on track.

On a larger scale, this whole problem is one of “connection.” As long as the
political “system” continues to foster individuals who themselves have become
disconnected from the culture they continually seek to rape, we’ll never get out
of this mess. Somewhere along the line, people in office have to remember why
they were elected, but if banking interests are allowed to set the pace, their
corruptive influence will always trump integrity.

The very first thing we need to do is to dissolve the Federal Reserve, but there
are so many members from both parties who are in the bankers pockets that
nothing will get accomplished until they are ALL removed. The Bushes, the
Clintons, and Obama are ALL part of this huge problem, but they are just the
front men. The real problem is in the Congress and Senate.

So, for the life of me, how you manage to narrow down the problem to the DLC
is beyond me. It is so much larger than that. As Amshel de Rothschild said
early on, “Give me control of a nation’s money and I care not who makes the
laws.”  So if you think that focusing on the DLC is going to solve the problem,
hey, go for it, but I’ll guaranty you that your grandchildren will still be dealing
with the same issues ....... if everyone isn’t in work camps by that time.

My apologies. It’s just that I think many of us could say that it’s SSDD with
either of the parties. I applaud ANYONE’S level of ferocity at changing the
system, which certainly includes both Martha and yourself, so please don’t
misunderstand me.

There are so many roots to the problems we have that lie on BOTH sides of the
aisle. I was just listening to Gary Hart’s speech about the transformation to a
New World Order and the potential killing of many Americans. He wrote this
while working with Clinton on the topic and we STILL have these dyed in the
wool Clinton supporters who think that Bill and Hilary are somehow surgically
removed from the Obama Administration. Nothing could be further from the
truth.

Whether we’ve had a Republican or democratically controlled congress,
somewhere along the line one has to ask the question, how the hell did we get
to the point we’re at today. It wasn’t any one party that got us here; it was an
unhealthy composite of BOTH parties that worked together to get us here.
So, not to be sarcastic here, but do the math.

Martha could have argued that the Republicans, with as much damage as they
have already done through the Bush43 Administration, might have actually
been better poised to change their spots, since it doesn’t look like being a
Republican has an more to do with big business than does being a Democrat; at
least not by today’s standard.

But personally, I don’t think there’d be any real difference which party was in
the office, whether it was cleaned up or not. Not until honesty, integrity, and a
100% support of the US Constitution is embraced will we ever have a change in
the caliber of our politicians. Until that happens, people will continue to see
politicians as worthless trash, prison fodder, targets, smegma, or the dog crap
that one has to scrape from the bottom of their shoes; take your pick.

Anyway, that’s all I was getting at. I just don’t see how cleaning up one party is
going to change the perceptions all the way around. As long as the same evil
monster is lurking in the halls of Congress, integrity will never be a goal of its
members. How do you get the whole dysfunctional bunch of them to grow a
conscience and just say NO?

Lawrence and Martha,

I would suggest that the problem is far larger than that. I agree that we need to
start somewhere, but what has happened over the last 100 years is that the
same sleazy banking forces have creeped into BOTH sides of our political
structure.

To suggest that the Democrats purge themselves of from the Republicans is no
different than the Republicans purging themselves from the Democrats; not as
long as either party is controlled by the banks and, most importantly, all those
problem members of the legislature fail to see how their votes have trashed our
way of life.

This is about individual honesty and integrity and has absolutely NOTHING to
do with any party a candidate may be affiliated with. We could be run by any
method of governance, from fascism to communism, and any of them “could”
be compassionate and caring of its population. The problem is that history has
proven that humans are still incapable of reaching the level of integrity
necessary for that to happen. Greed and self preservation have so corrupted
our system and our own politicians have become so detached from their own
countrymen that party designations are merely a smoke screen.

When I saw that YouTube clip of Daniel Inouye gaveling Rep Jack Brooks back
during the grilling of Oliver North, when Brook initially attempted to inquire
about the Continuity of Government (REX84), it was THAT incident that showed
me how the new breed of traitors had infiltrated our government. And to have
someone, who was wounded in the service, so successfully drape themselves
under the flag of patriotism and then be such an integral part of covering up so
much from the American public, I’m sorry, but that’s treason.

The Democratic and Republican parties have reduced themselves to nothing
more than gang colors, Blue and Red, respectively, and have absolutely no
interest in the neighborhoods they wage their petty wars within.

Re: ofersince72, July 23 at 5:41 am

When you spoke of kids going home and influencing their parents to change,
the part about driving less really hit home for me. Ever since I returned from
overseas while in the service, I had always been mindful of how the rest of the
world had to make do and how “wasteful” our country was.

Some things to note:
Back in the ‘70s, it only took 18 hp to push a Saab along at 55mph.

Today, it only takes 24-25 hp to push a new Corvette down the road at
60mph. All the rest of the horsepower is associated with small penis-
syndrome.

Also back in the ‘70s, three Mercedes-Benz graduate students built a one
cylinder diesel vehicle with a sprag clutch that attained 1,320 mpg. Although
the driving conditions were far from realistic, it gives you some idea exactly
how far off base we are and the politics that have caused it.

Aerodynamics is a funny thing, once you drop below 38-45 mph, you could be
driving a wooden box down the road and wouldn’t have nearly the waste as if
when you were driving over 55 or 60; the latter of which is far lower than many
freeway speeds today. The reason I bring this up, is that we have had zero
attempts by the previous administrations (except for Carter) to curtail our
speed, which is one factor that could have saved us billions of gallons of fuel
over the years.

Instead, all of our technological advancements have gone back in to 375 hp
Audi, which is totally absurd and the Ford’s production of their battlecruiser
series of UAVs, the Navigator/Expedition at 6,200 lbs.

Here’s something to consider. My beat up 1959 Chevy Impala (with 83K on it in
1971) got 19 mpg on the freeway and that was with a 2bbl, 283ci engine AND
a two speed automatic transmission.

My question is this. What the hell has our automobile industry been doing for
the last 50 years? The unnecessary speeds and power output of our vehicles
have only let to people commuting further and ultimately helping to further
erode that sense of community that much of our country. Now, everything is
geared to the “car”, instead of the people who drive those cars.

(Sorry, this has always been a sore point of mine. Thanks for hanging in there.)

===========================
On a totally unrelated subject, here is a link to an online store that I have
always found fascinating. I’ve ordered some material from them and have
always been amazed. One of my favorites was “The Psychic Life of Micro-
Organisms” written by Alfred Binet in ....... (get this) ....... 1888.

Another thing that isn’t reported but proven by
archaeology is that they have found artifacts here in
North America that date back 50,000 years ago.  Of course
this contradicts their migration theory and probably why
this information is suppressed.

I had about a $30k artifact collection stolen from me.
they were all one of a kind pieces, granite, slate, quartz
chert , all polished and authentic.  It is suprising
how much the stone work resembled that of Egypt of the
same time.  Around here at one time, it was common place
to find points (arrow heads, but they never were really
arrow heads) 10k years old.  The Indians hadn’t worked
with stone for about one thousand years when the white
man arrived.  Most “arrow heads” you find are at least
2000 years old.  The bow and arrow wasn’t used back then
by the Indians.  The mounds that were common place here
in the Mid-West were very interesting. The huge one in
East St. Louis that is now a national monument is worth
visiting.

There was a really good book that I picked up at a
yard sale years ago,  I lent it to someone , can’t
remember who, and have never seen it again, nor can I
find it on the internet.
It was banned all through Europe for over two
centuries.  The title of it was THE INCAS. It was
written during the time of Pizzaro by an Incan. Well,
his mother was an Incan, but his father was a Spanish
officer in Pizzaro’s conquistdor army.  He went to Spain
to live after a while, I don’t believe it was his choise.
But he wrote a history of the Mayans as told by the elders
He explained just why they didn’t put their language on
paper.  I was a hard book to read, but very interesting
and I can’t find another copy of it.  Searched the
net,  but all books of that title are not the same book.

I believe he is exactly right….

Like for instance the story of the Aztecs and how they
supposedly believed in human sacrifice. How the hell do
we know?  Their history was written by Cortez’s secretary.
They had been slaughtering them in horrible fashion.
Back home in Spain the Inquisition I believe was still
going on or just recent over with.
The Incas had just been decimated along with the Mayans.

There were many human rights organizations back home in
Spain trying to stop the geonocide in the New World,
Cortez was having to answer to these folks because many
were of the aristocracy.  They had to make exuses for
there genocide.
I personally don’t believe a damn word what any
European wrote about the history of the indigenous
peoples of the Americas,  especially mass human sacrifice.
And,  from what I have read, and seen here in the
Mid-West,  the population of the Americas before white
man had to be at least triple of what is recorded and
what we were taught.

Since Obama, when he first came to office , was compared
to JFK,  this story is worth telling again on TD.

I was in the seventh grade when JFK took office.  He
came in pushing a physical fitness program for America.
To show his dedication to this, he took a fifty mile hike.
Thus the fifty mile hike became the talk of the country
because of this new young president.  Everyone wanted to
do the fifty mile hike.
I grew up on the Eastern Shore of Maryland thirty miles
from Ocean City.  Me and my friend Steve Morris decided
we were going to hike the back country road to Ocean City
and back on a Saturday.  I told my parents that I was
spending the day at Steve’s , and he told his that he
was spending the day with me.
Little did we know that you need water, food, and good
shoes , and some money take such a hike. On the back road
there were no towns or stores between where we started
and Berlin Md , which was about at the twenty-five mile
mark.. By the time we got halfway to Berlin , we had
blisters the size of a silver dollar on our heels , our
mouths were completly dry and our stomachs growling. We
couldn’t turn back because it was longer to go back then
to keep on hiking to Berlin, but we well knew we were in
over our heads.  There was no place to make a phone call.
So we finally arrived at Berlin in the evening and talked
a kind woman into some water and use of the phone..
We were retrieved by my parents, sore, thirsty, hungry
and had some explaining to do. In those days 25 miles was
a distance in a vehicle.
But the main point of this story is what Obama could
have been to this country.  Even though I didn’t vote for
him I was real pleased with the enthusiasm that our
country was showing towards the OBAMARAMA,  and while not
hopeful, somewhat positive at the posibilities.
If he had come to office touting conservation, the young
would have responded in a dramatic fashion and encouraged
their parents to conserve also.  If he would have initiated a program ,, cut your petro consumtion by a
tank a month for starters,  most would have responded and
conserved two tanks a month…. and on and on and on
Our country missed a great opportunity that only comes
every now and then,  a couple of times in a lifetime.

Lawrence,

Good stuff. Not sure if you ever saw the movie, “Shooter”, with Mark Wahlberg,
but it’s riddled with all sorts of subtle and not so subtle references to the
government taking your average hard working and patriotic American and
using them as fodder for some sinister cause. In a nutshell, and as with WWII
on up to the present, our sons and daughters are all considered to be
expendable fodder for our socially dysfunctional politicians.

In that movie, the character Michael Sandor, a former sniper, now crippled, says of “the system”, “There is no head to cut off. It’s a conglomerate. If one of them betrays the principles of the accrual of money and power, the others betray him. What it is is human weakness.”

And what we have in real life is exactly that, a near total indulgence in every
human sin and weakness; a Sodom and Gomorrah of governmental
proportions. As I prefer to see it, it is a failure of those in power to maintain
any degree of personal integrity. Eventually, that is what will bring these people
down.

Archive Dave: Thanks for the Tavistock link; a great source of information that accurately explains how the Totalitarian NWO agenda has been formulated to overthrow American Democracy over the years.

Uneducated Americans are driven like sheep to slaughter.

The corruption of American Democracy could only take place from within by corruption of government, major institutions, dummying down education and by mass brainwashing.

It brings to mind a famous John D. Rockefeller quote “The best way to defeat your opposition; is to organize it yourself.”

That is what has happened; I see it every day, most of the opposition to the N.W.O is clandestine operations away from Democracy; divide and conquer of the unwitting.

Ask the average Joe walking down the street to define the difference between Democracy and Totalitarianism and chances are they will not be able to define either one.

America is passing into dark and evil times with much suffering and will never be the same again; the elite are in all the key positions and determined to destroy our Democracy and enslave our population.

Revolution is inevitable; the corruption is too deep, if we want Democracy, we will have to fight for it. The question is, will the American People fight back or go silently into submission and slavery?

My personal opinion is that Americans will not fight back until they loose all of their freedoms that they have taken for granted and do not realize what they had.

It will be too late to fight back then because they have already lost. It will take at least a hundred years of struggle and millions of American lives to regain Democracy for the People.

Another John D. Rockefeller quote: “I don’t have to worry about the working man; I can hire half of them to kill the other half.”

Obama is changing boats in the middle of the stream. Now that he done all the
damage he could possibly do, using Wall Street as the executioner’s blade,
now, all of a sudden, he wants us to believe that he had a conscience all along.

Maybe all those hard core liberals who saw Obama as their only choice against
the McCain/Palin nightmare are still so rapturous of their choice of saviors that
they still haven’t figured out what that uncomfortable feeling is in their
backside when they bend over to pick up some loose change on the sidewalk.
Where were these people when Ron Paul was running?

If enough people said, “Look, I’ve had it with this two party dog and pony
show. I’m only interested in candidates that are vehemently opposed to
NAFTA,” maybe we might get somewhere. The downside is that we already
know that Perot was threatened, and perhaps Ron Paul was, as well. The
corrupt legislature refuses to put in a ballot selection entitled “NONE of the
above” and slowly but surely, the whole country gets dragged down this sewer,
when, with a little bit of constructive managerial experience, we could be ruling
the planet by setting an example of stewardship.

The same elitists could still stay in power, but it goes without saying that
they’d need to have a positive outlook for humanity instead of the pathetically
dysfunction and depressing view that they currently posses. We’ve all seen that
managerial style, the one where some cerebrally deficient Neanderthal makes
his way into management and then blames everything that goes wrong on the
employees beneath him. Well, these people have been running the show now
for almost 200 years, and basically, they’ve trashed the place.

Awfully secret and quiet today, because the oil well is capped, the oil will run out of the breached pipe and into the strata; showing up as surface leaks somewhere else.

It is only a matter of time before the “stress test” sealed, but breached pipe, will wash out the rest of the pipe.

We already know that the Gulf floor isn’t all that stable. The problem with the
nuke solution is that , while it might fuse the sediments out to some radius that I
can’t find any data on (perhaps 1/2 mile), the concussion wave would continue to
propagate far beyond that radius and only further destabilize the seabed.

So, understanding that shock radius can travel further than the fusion radius, and
until someone can convince me otherwise, I’ll continue to stick with that scenario.

The problem is like physicist Dr. Michi Okaku has said is that it won’t seal it and would not only irradiate the oil and area but actually widen the hole. Especially if the strata is already fractured and leaking outside of the bore hole a general collaps of the area would probably happen. Too much of a risk that would be far worse than what is going on now.

Dr. Bloomfield’s method for stopping the oil flow is not only a brilliant idea but he has empirically proved that idea with a model experiment; that makes his theory a physically proven fact.

http://physicsfrontline.aps.org/2010/07/01/stop-the-oil-spill-with-heavy-streamlined-objects/

The truth in Physics is that the bore hole could be backfilled even past an open breach in the pipe. The flow is stopped from the bottom up, not by forcing the pressure down from the top past an open breach; that is an impossible task.

Using the terms “ranting and raving” in the same sentence with “voting

vote for Obama before I’d vote Republican again. Oops, I already tried that,
thinking that there’d be Hope and Change, and where are we? Worse than when
we started.

As I said before, I VOTED FOR OBAMA, so let’s not waste any MORE time on your
accusing me of being a Republican. If I would vote Republican it would be for
Ron Paul, although Kucinich might be OK as a Democrat.

What all the voters have to consider is their future candidates’ stance on NAFTA.
All the candidates that were against NAFTA in the last two elections were
muscled off the stage. All those who supported it were ushered further to the
center. Obama dodged the initial NAFTA bullet by refusing to comment on it,
only to show his cards later on.

If you’re so enamored with Obama, try squeezing in a few questions about
preserving the Constitution or reinstating Posse comitatus, and more
importantly, the importance of State Sovereignty and why we are somehow
training so many foreign troops in police raids in this country. See how far that
gets you.

Fact: Mr. Simmons is a banker and Bush oil man. He is stuck together with glue called loyalty. Without loyalty to his superiors in his crime family, he would not exist as a banker and oil man. He is very much inline and controlled.

The real fathom is why do people continue to believe someone who repeatedly lies to them? You should know that everything that Mr. Simmons says is a diversion from the truth.

A person should ask: What is the real purpose and objective of his bull-shit?

He suggests an asinine theory of setting off a nuclear explosion under the already fractured egg shell; we call Earth, as a solution to the physics problem. There is a real physics lesson for you, prove it with a model experiment complete with the Methane and Benzene!

His purpose is to create and spread confusion (anti-science) and fear.

Mr. Simmons message conclusion: The lying and ineptitude (reinforced hatred) is directed at (Democracy) the government and Obama to hide focus on Big Oil and World Banisters.

The bastards corrupt government agencies and then turn around and claim the democratic government is inept and blotted!

There is a great undercurrent anti-Democracy propaganda effort underway by the Big Money enemy.

For instance: I have infiltrated the anti-Democratic Tea Party “Restore the Republic” false flag campaign and have mounted a counter within their ranks. This is what Big Money propagandist sells the uneducated and unwitting. L.B. Bork (the Dork) is their prophet.

Communism= Democracy= United States of America.

It’s an old Rove trick: Legal Torture= High ranking, nut legal opinion sets precedence for action.

THIS is our absolute mortal enemy and even ‘conservatives’ and Teapartiers are beginning to wake up to this fact.

This is my latest blog.

The historical problem of Democracy is that the Fascist criminal element, unchecked, uses our freedoms to corrupt Democracy from within.

The United States of America’s National Debt to Gross Domestic Product is nearing 100% and soon we will be in financial receivership to the Totalitarian new world banking governance, at that point, the new American Revolution begins.

U.S. National debt clock: http://www.usdebtclock.org/

The Tea Bag movement is a subversive Fascist movement sponsored by Big Money that preaches against Democracy. Faux News and paid propagandist have been brainwashing Americans for 30 years.

The opposing forces are millions of Americans who are sworn and united to fight for the United States of America and our Constitutional Representative Democratic Republic; and our Independence and Freedom.

They have already done a pretty fair job
suspending the constitution…

It is my opinion that we are several elections beyond
being able to vote ourselves out of this mess…

Paul, Kucinach, nor Nader could get us out what we
have going on right now.

Besides the eletions are pretty much controlled,
either A or B, both of which === disaster for us.

BR549, July 19 at 4:36 pm,

Ranting and raving and voting Republican is not a solution.

Sure President Obama could have done better, if he had had a better Congress—one that was truly Liberal instead of Conservative.

You can’t blame President Obama when all he has had from the beginning is a heavily salted Conservative Congress with which to get his programs passed.

I think President Obama has done the best that he could, considering that he was string haltered by Conservatism in his own party’s side of Congress in both houses.

If we can change out some of the Conservative EXTREMISTS in Congress at this midterm, you may see a remarkable difference in what President Obama shepherds through Congress in the next half.

Re: MarthaA, July 19 at 3:53 pm

You successfully had me going there for the first three paragraphs, talking
about “truth” and all, but at the fourth paragraph, to infer that Obama is doing
well just knocked the chair out from under me.

And let me say this up front; just because I may trash Obama doesn’t in way
mean that I support the right. I voted for Obama (unfortunately) and his record
is appalling. Goldmann-Sachs and the banking industry didn’t need any bailing
out; not one bit, and what’s with his continuation of the
Reagan/Bush/Clinton/Bush rush to eviscerate the American economy to keep
funneling funds to projects that will only benefit the ultra-rich?

What’s with all the Executive Orders designed to shut down the functionality of
the US under the guise of national security? The worst thing that could ever
happen to US sovereignty would be to embrace this NWO crap and yet that’s
exactly what Obama has done. He didn’t even care if the Congress had
approved it; he was already poised to enter the US into it anyway.

I never hung my hat on that Birther argument although I now see that unless
the issue is cleared up once and for all, it will only pave the way for a foreigner
to actively run for office. Why would Obama be spending over $900K trying to
stave off lawsuits on the issue if there wasn’t some meat to it?

I’m sorry, I was with you on the first three paragraphs, but #4 just makes me
gag. So what are our options? For anyone still embracing the “two party”
system of Republicrats, they will continue walking into a voting quagmire as
long as they only vote for the lesser of two evils. What we REALLY need this fall
and in 2012, is for voters to get out of that box they’ve been living in. If
EVERYONE only voted for Kucinich, Paul, or God Forbid, Nader, or whomever,
and EACH of the alternate candidates got more votes than any of the
Republican or Democratic candidates, what kind of message do you think that
would send?

Unfortunately, I can tell you what would happen. We would have a series of
staged “false flag” events to prop up the security level so that the internet
could be shut down and marshall law imposed. The one thing the powers that
be are waiting for is some excuse to suspend the Constitution ....... and don’t
be so naive as to think they aren’t thinking about it.
