America Is a Spark Away From Riots of Its OwnPosted on Aug 11, 2011
As President Barack Obama tried to calm a United States facing the threat of financial disaster, riots raged across the Atlantic in London and other British cities. Could it happen here, as our nation adopts British-style austerity and suffers through worsening unemployment? It certainly could, just as it has in the past. As a reporter and then a columnist for the Los Angeles Times 20 years ago I covered the genesis, the explosion and the aftermath of the Los Angeles riot of 1992, described by author Lou Cannon as “the nation’s deadliest race riot since the Civil War.” As I followed the accounts of the British rioting on the BBC, The Guardian and other media, I was struck by how it resembled what we saw in Los Angeles—looting, arson, random attacks on people and buildings burning, often without police or firefighters in sight. We also saw ethnic minorities—mainly African-Americans and Korean-Americans—locked in combat in a city where “minorities” constitute the majority of the population. What began as anger over the acquittal of police officers in the beating of a motorist, Rodney King, unleashed the community’s long-ignored tensions. The British rioting, triggered by a police shooting, followed severe cuts to the welfare state by the government of Prime Minister David Cameron. The New York Times said, “For a society already under severe economic strain, the rioting raised new questions about the political sustainability of the Cameron government’s spending cuts, particularly the deep cutbacks in social programs. These have hit the country’s poor especially hard, including large numbers of the minority youths who have been at the forefront of the unrest.” In his excellent book dealing with the Los Angeles riot, “Official Negligence,” Cannon found the same factors at play. He explained that the riot was preceded by a sharp diminishing of the area’s industrial base, particularly aerospace, and major reductions in government aid programs. Advertisement “We didn’t want to just sit around and complain. We decided to do something about it,” caucus Chairman Emanuel Cleaver of Missouri said at a Cleveland jobs fair. In a story by McClatchy Newspapers, he said, “This will send a message to Washington that this is a crisis that can be ignored no longer. If the images of what’s going on here reach Washington … it would take a very mean-spirited conscience or no conscience at all, to allow people to ignore this.” It’s been previously reported that the unemployment rate for African-Americans and Hispanics substantially exceeds that of whites. Last week, a congressional Joint Economic Committee report on the long-term unemployed provided another gloomy picture of the situation. “The majority of long-term unemployed workers are white,” the report said. “However, long-term unemployment remains extraordinarily high among the black community, given their share of the labor force. In 2010, 21.5 percent of workers unemployed for more than 27 weeks were black and 22.4 percent of workers unemployed for more than 52 weeks were black, compared with 11.6 percent of the labor force. Hispanic workers’ share of long-term unemployment also exceeds their share of the labor force although to a lesser extent than for blacks.” The plight of these workers should add urgency to Obama’s own jobs tour of the country. So far, he has remained all too calm, both in his comments made Monday as the stock market plummeted and in what he has said since then. He has done little to counter the deep pessimism noted in a story by Binyamin Appelbaum in The New York Times on Tuesday: “It is now conventional wisdom among forecasters that the economy will plod along through the end of President Obama’s first term in office. Millions of Americans will not find work. Wages will not rise substantially.” Causes of an urban riot are not always clear, as The Guardian reflected in an editorial written in the heat of the London riot: “The riots are a product of the lives which the rioters choose or feel constrained to live. Blaming the riots on individual wickedness, conspiracies or on government spending cuts is too glib for such complex issues, though they cannot be dismissed altogether. … Both conspiracy and deprivation are part of the complex and grim story, as is the cult of violence, especially guns, and a rage against exclusion from consumerist fulfillment.” But what these urban riots all have in common are economic hard times, unemployment and the withdrawal of government aid, causing social tension that remains just below the surface in poor minority neighborhoods until ignited by a spark. Its seems the only solution is to move fowards many want to relieve the days of our founding fathers but we live in a time where we have people that want to create end time events .We live in a time where many are not just hoping their jesus comes back their hoping they day quick and peacefully.
I truly feel that not just riots are going to occur but alot of racisl incidents Ron Pauls desire to errdicate welfare will hurt poor white ,and especially minorites the most . I can not even get a job as a garbage man in this country.I no longer pur my faith in man .I support Obama he caught Osama and has not had enough time to create change.I feel we should give him another chance and make sure Ron Paul doesnt win .Even if that means rigging elections.

All who think human behavior can be classified simplify as civilized or uncivilized are making a mistake. The crisis in London are not diff rent from the tribal conflicts in Africa or the political riots in the Middle East. What is important is that let all world leaders take the temperament temperature of its citizenry often to manage them better.
Report thisThe American administration should therefore use the London experience as an example to treat the youth better.

BTW: Bill doesn’t go nearly far enough in his article. That’s why the further discussion .. which you seem to want to keep political instead of providing answers and solutions.
Result: as long as you are in Slavery by Consent, the Government / Corporation of [insert country here] will only laugh at your protests and whatever other rebellion you throw at them. They have the guns, biological agents and many other types of weapons.
the Only way you can change things is if you make them pay, cost them big money, and/or send them a bill for damages to [insert your cause here], and your lost time, and your lost health, and whatever else you can think of
And ... simultaneously start a new Just System for All, or look back in history to reinstall the best one and work on it.
So start thinking with that brain you were born with instead of being a sheep. And that goes for the rest of you complainers on this website.

Gabriel, every living person has a horizon.
Every person is limited / nearsighted to their knowledge, understanding and comprehension of things… let alone being able to identify and acknowledge what ‘truth’ is.
What the Christ revealed ( not so much in ‘knowledge’ of ancient secrets, but things of conscience and the experience of love ) can only be understood when one relinquishes all other things, even themselves.
If you have ever known a true Christian / Disciple of Christ ( one evidenced by action and deed, not by lip-service ), then perhaps you would have noticed that being a follower of Christ holds no adherence to Jews or Israel or any ‘sacred places’ ( so being a true Christian is of no value to the Jews, although the Christ came from them )
Also, you would have noticed that a true believer does not affiliate themselves nor adhere to this pagan world / the continuation of the empirical system of slavery and domination perfected at the time of Christ over 2k years ago. Even though the empire adopted Christianity circa the 3rd century, they did so with symbols and rhetoric and made it into a (re)ligion… yet this action by the hierarchy at that time did not diminish the truth, only pushed it deeper into the hearts of believers ( Spirit ).
As for beings from other planets, solar systems, etc… what would that matter if the individuals living in today’s present time cannot even get along with their neighbor? ( I am speaking to you and everyone who reads these words now ). What good is it to ‘know’ the ‘secrets’ long ago hidden, if those secrets do not edify the people you share the land with?
THIS is the defining factor and truth that Christ revealed…. for all that information you are sharing, loses its weight when this question is proposed: Are you at peace with yourself, your neighbor, your family members and your enemies?
Here is another question: Have you forgiven those who cross you and / or do you forgive people when they cross you?
And one more: What good is knowledge of anything true or factual or fictional if the individual’s heart is corrupt and depraved, instead of being an example for everyone to learn from in how to mature and evolve?
Yes, many ‘truths’ have been hidden from the common man, but notice… these ‘truths’ and wisdom of the world have not developed the hierarchy / hegemony one bit, has it? In actuality, it has become a smokescreen to hide away what is more important and deeper; our humanity and the reality we are all brothers and sisters, divided only by time, circumstance and ignorance of the Father in Heaven ( the Great Spirit - the Almighty ‘radiating Love vibration’ to use the new age description ).
Instead, the hiding away of this secret knowledge has caused these ‘learned men’ to fear their fellow man, to act in depravity and actually ignore God and instead of serving their fellow man out of this wisdom, they instead subdue their neighbor out of greed and selfishness… the very opposite of which Christ taught and exemplified in His Life’s example.
So take note of how the world’s wisdom has backfired on those who claim to know something.
That personage ( Christ ) taught and revealed what love really is through his lifestyle, and those around him wrote down the words He expressed for us to read and learn from Today.
Wisdom is great, but without understanding ( meaning, without proper application of how that wisdom helps your fellowman ) then it is worthless, and if anyone thinks himself to be wise and does not look after his fellow man, then he is a fool and the ‘truth’ is not in him… only useless information which will perish with him.

Is that so?
Then how do you explain http://www.sacred-texts.com
and
http://s8int.com ?
... just to name a couple out of 1,000’s of fact sites.
I haven’t even started on real juicy parts ... yet. My uncle worked in Vatican Library for over 60 yrs til he found out the real story. He made copies of more than 90% of 300 essential books. He also spread copies of them to many places as his insurance. We, as a group, have access to one such copy.
After he left the Vatican they quickly locked out the library to public. Now you can’t even bring in a pencil and notepad, and you must provide the specific reference you’re after or you don’t get in, even if you have clearance as one of their own.
So what are they trying to hide?
Let’s just say, my uncle was considered one of the most dangerous men on Earth to their and whole Monarchy power structure, at the time. Yet he was one of many who copied said records.
Certain parts were/are leaked to independent; scientists, archeologists, sovereigns, cosmologists, humanitarians, etc. and come out as “new discoveries”. That’s the field you need to watch.
Tesla, Edgar Cayce, Nassim Haramein and many other independents combined are much closer to truth than your so called bible. Original system of Earth was not perfect but it came really close.
Only fallen angels / local Galactic aliens screwed it up, created man/hominids/Adam to do their work in deep radioactive mines and other heavy work. Later they created woman/homo-sapiens/Eve for rest of general toil. Too bad they found out men and women were like them, by self realization, and had to be set free ... according to Laws of Nature and Universe.
They been watching us for over 12,000 yrs to see when we will grow up and be part of greater Galactic family. Due to continuing strife and abuse we are not allowed off earth to spread further until we learn the original basics. If it doesn’t happen soon then Earth might be wiped to basics ... again.
Now you know why there’s a push to shut down all the corrupt systems and especially ones whom run them. If you’d read the full story of Genesis and related books by Sumerians, Maya, Hindus etc. you’d know this. Even corrupt totalitarian China is executing corrupt officials and business people by the 1,000’s.
Huge numbers of US destructive politicians, business people, cops, priests, evangelists and others are let loose on most individuals daily. US is sitting on a time bomb likes of which has never been seen.
The rest of Earth knows this and much more than I say here, why not you?
If you think this is bad just wait til I get into the more juicy parts of records and preset day facts. LOL

YES .. with details:
You must have missed the part: “or search out the related records for yourself from ALL over Earth, and you translate them yourself, you don’t know squat.”
Originally there were 300 essential books of all knowledge ... life, nature, universe and beyond. Before Great Flood a location close to each Pyramid complex held a copy. In cases of singular pyramid or monolithic structure per area a corresponding close location was chosen. Over time most were looted, destroyed, moved, hidden or not yet found.
Main known repositories in last 6,500 yrs were in Egypt, China, Tibet, Greece, Maya, Native Americans, England, Australian Natives, Dogon and other African Tribes, India, Japan, etc.
Now Bosnia is being excavated and hopefully holds a full undisturbed copy. Independent investigators know of many untouched sites. Yet as with all wars, they are being careful not to get killed by such a Roman Catholic Christianity based Religious mushroom cult prevailing from European Monarchy and Jewish mental state. Hence the origins of their Bible.
King Solomon buried these books under Temple Mount along with Ark of the Covenant = YHMH, a machine handed down from pre flood days that provides free power and protection if it’s combined with a pyramid. It is also the main way to contact our Galactic neighbors.
YHMH was moved to Ethiopia til Templars got to it. Hence the start of Monolithic churches of Europe and subsequent industrial revolution ever since. 300 essential books were stolen and moved to Vatican and who knows where.
These 300 books are the truth, the whole truth and nothing but the truth. When you put them all together as one, study them and comprehend their content, then and only then you will know the full truth. Anything outside of this is only part truth or outright fraud.
But I digress. Today’s rebellions are directly related to truth, exposing the truth and kicking the liars out. So anyone not knowing what they speak of and it’s roots should ask questions instead of make false statements.
BTW: “religion” in an English word and is a composite of “re” and “legion”, to start a legion all over again.
Legion of what? The Roman Judeo Christian Empire under a different name, silly.
It also gives you a hint of how that system is designed.
Anonymous has been smart enough to comprehend this and have adopted the original “legion” part. But with a difference: Each member is a legion, a Sovereign and has one vote. Leave it to young adults to figure out what the old-fart boys club try to hide or manipulate.
Many others are not falling for either and retain their Sovereignty. These are the real ones who will tune you in if you step out of truth.
Thank you for the hint Napolean

Thanks Gabriel, and your source of reference for this masterful ‘insight’ that unless one has access to the bowels of the Vatican they cannot know anything from the bible is where? Some youboob video?
Much like it is narrow-minded to use ‘we’ and by doing so mistakenly include every inhabitant of Amerika when speaking of the U.S. government’s crimes… it is also ignorant to couple anyone who sources scripture as being obtuse or blind to the atrocities done by any organized religion, or not being able to decipher spiritual truths / realities.. be it some satanist cult, the catholic church ( sometimes seen as one in the same, no argument from me regarding this fyi ) or any group proclaiming to faithfully follow the scriptures… whether or not they have ‘access’ to the deeds / misdeeds of whatever entity hidden away somewhere.
How about the scholarly work of the past few centuries referring back to the original scrolls and texts? Is this also from the hand of the Catholic church? Those Dead Sea Scrolls, for example?
I too can make stuff up ( or believe what I read wherever ) and say it is fact and call-out, let’s say, Buddhism and say something like…. uhm…. oh, the Buddha wasn’t ‘really’ enlightened, but he was taking his notes from somewhere only the divine rite of some 3rd century monks wrote… which refused to enjoy anything the material world had to offer.. even food… and THIS is where Buddha got his ‘zen’ from, and if you don’t read it from THAT source or have access to it… then you don’t know Buddha.
We all have a horizon, yet it is difficult to disregard the teachings of Christ at their face value… very difficult to refute, let alone read out-loud… to the chagrin of most and delight of few.

LMAO .. If you ever studied the bible as a document then you’d realize it’s coded with references to other much more detailed materials, books, much older books, systems, high end technology, astronomy, cosmos, life outside of Earth and ALL other sciences and science facts.
It’s coded so a beginner student priest can use it as a starting point to other much more detailed documents and occult [hidden] knowledge, which copies of now comprise most of Vatican library.
It was never meant to be for public consumption. Get this through your thick skull.
Obviously your view is so narrow minded you can’t see the forest for the trees. We see it’s actually way into bible fundamentalism and nothing else.
Result: unless you have full access to Vatican library or search out the related records for yourself from ALL over Earth, and you translate them yourself, you don’t know squat.
BTW: it’s that occult knowledge that has allowed the priests to manipulate societies into sheeple / sheep people, you being one of them. As you see, the truth is coming out and you can’t lie and manipulate anymore without being challenged. Whole system of control is leaking like a sieve and a backlash is building to dump those who control it, probably it’s followers as well.
Sorry to shatter your world, but at least now you know the truth. You might want to pass this on to your bible thumping buddies as well.

RayLan—-According to my Webster’s Dictionary
Report this“Season” is defind as, “The time WHEN something
takes place. In Matthew 24:3, the disciples ask
Jesus, “Tell us, WHEN shall these things be? and
WHAT shall be the SIGN of thy coming?” Jesus then
went on to quote the signs which I made reference
to previously. You quoted verse 42, “Watch therefore….” What were they suppose to watch
for? Not the hour nor day but the times when the
signs he depicted would appear. When in history
could the gospel be preached throughout all the
world but the times we are living? Television
and computers are the primary instruments being
used to accomplish this sign. In the days of
Noah most people didn’t believe Noah. They
were not prepared when the flood came. Thus,
shall it be in our time. The vast majority of
people don’t believe in the teachings of Jesus.
If they do, they pervert the teachings. Not
willlingly. They are blinded by the Spirit of
Antichrist. Jesus warned us to be aware of the
false prophets and teachers. Therefore, we
must know the truth to “watch therefore” unless
we be led astray. Things are bad now but they
aren’t even close to how bad it’s going to get.
Jesus said there would come a time of trouble

The Matthew 24 prophecy can only be understood from a flat-earth perspective. Stars are not little lights hanging from a canopy. Jesus failed to realize that the closest star to the earth is our sun. The mass of the sun is many times larger than that of the earth and couldn’t ‘fall upon the earth’ because the greater mass would pull the earth, along with the moon, to it. Not to mention that heat and radiation would destroy the earth and the moon long before any impact could take place.
This ‘propehcy’ has been used by Christians for 2,000 years to predict the end of the world and they’ve been wrong every single time. What the Bible really shows us is that the Human condition hasn’t really changed—other than technologically—that much since man’s predecessors first crawled out of the primordial slime.
Bottom line is we’re still nothing but apes ...albeit ... apes with plenty of guns and money.

How ‘bout we leave Wonderland and pay a visit to reality, okay?
It has obviously escaped your attention but Kadaffy Duck is still in power and giving NATO and its Islamist allies all they can handle. Mubarak may have stepped down but those who supported his regime are still in power and as oppressive as ever.
The Ruling Elite (your Oligarch) is not just a group of easily identifiable super wealthy individuals. It consists of humans AND the institutions through which they exercise and maintain their power. The groups of people are never the same due to mortality, fortunes won and lost, etc. Institutions aren’t stagnant either, they are modified, they morph, old ones are sometimes discarded and new ones created. Then there’s the henchmen class who do the dirty work because of the privileged lives they can lead. The military is an extremely powerful part of both the Ruling Elite and the henchman class.
Are you beginning to get an idea of just what it is that you’re dealing with? You err assuming that 99% of the population feels as you do. They don’t. The general population tends to be somewhat conservative and fears extremes and rocking the boat.
It gets better…
Like most you also have little or no idea of the highly technological society in which you live. You flip a switch and there is light in the dark. You go to the supermarket and there’s an overabundance of food. You turn the valve and water pours out. Most cities only have a 3-5 day supply of food and gasoline. Water and electricity have stations and sub-stations that supply power and H2O to grids that are easily isolated within minutes and hours. You’re probably thinking ... So?
In any severe riot the paramilitary forces—formerly police forces—who are now integrated into an Orwellian hierarchical police state apparatus under DHS and the Patriot Act need only exercise a defensive action where they simply set up a heavily enforced perimeter around the trouble spot and cut all services to that area. At that point all they have to do is wait it out, but that’s too easy. They’ll then start with a psyops i.e. they could play campaign speeches 24/7 ... that would have even the cockroaches and rats surrendering within minutes. They’ll probably fly drones over the trouble spot and drones can easily discharge gas canisters as well as take military grade video of all those little Che Guevaras to be prosecuted under Patriot Act laws which basically classify you as domestic terrorists. Bye-Bye rights!
Now think about 2 or 3 days without power, water, and food ... and much more importantly ... all those drug-addled idiots not being able to score and you’re caged up with them. Try going 3 days without food and only a liter of water. Note how much your personality changes. And I haven’t even touched upon anti-personnel devices of which you haven’t a clue.
It’s easy to sit behind a monitor and think revolution; it’s a totally different experience to face off against the Beast.

Now should the oligarchs complete the current course of dividing the population into 1pct that owns everything and 99pct that is virtually enslaved and keep on to that for about half a centure, then the situation changes, because in that case the priveledged of the underclass (the ones who supervise the factories and chain gangs, the guards, the butlers) will know they are hated even more than the oligarchs and have to defend the system with their lives because it is forfeit anyway should such a revolution succeed.
But right now there is not enough of an ‘us versus them’ in the USA to trigger a civil war. Riots on the other hand, have a fertile soil to grow from already.

Nobody can predict the outcomes of the Middle East, nonviolent efforts, by necessity and/or by intention. Such huge popular, relatively leaderless uprisings are new and necessarily experimental. They may remain relatively leaderless because of the dictatorial backgrounds out of which they are coming. Certainly compared to Libya, Egypt did better for a longer period and is still in process. Syria is probably better off without causing the full impact of the state military to come down on them. Nobody knows enough to begin to understand, predict or advise these courageous efforts of ordinary people, and judging from Libya presently, it appears that inserting military force only ups the ante, as usual.
Report thisNor can anyone predict how Britain, European countries, the U.S. or Canada will work out economic and legal injustices. There are better ways to solve human problems—for starters, get together and work on ways to prevent them or catch them earlier before they rot into hatred and fear. We have the means. We need to find the ways. Let’s do it to preserve life on earth!

However, when an oppressive government responds with mass slaughter rather than reasoning and compromise, it is time to fight them by any means possible, such as in Libya and Syria.
The US will most likely never have a serious full-scale revolution simply because we can vote to change the government. Its a matter of education of the public. In a Democracy (or Republic) the people generally get what they deserve.
Case in point. The US has a very primitive system of health care contributing to the destruction of the middle-class. Why do the citizens continue to support the politicians who continue to block having a sane system like European countries, or Canada? We, as a country, are responsible for our own messes.

Thank for taking the time to answer my question. I don’t disagree with what
you have written. But I still have a problem.
All of your advise is based on the fundamental assumption that we are living
amongst thoughtful, compassionate, reasonable people. All of your

I think we might differ in our faith in fellow man. When I look around, I see the
nastiness that is human. I see people who have convinced themselves that God
is on their side. CEOs who believe deep in their hearts that capitalism is the
answer and that they have been anointed by God to rule the riff raff below. A

capitalism and now want to institute hard and fast rules for all others to follow.
And my critique is not limited to the ruling class, but to the very people

the very platform upon which it is based.
Your advise was sound thousands of years ago when good men risked their

These riots are the predictable result of people who have been left out of a political/economic system, who have no opportunity and no clout in the capitalist system. Capitalism breeds slums, wealth concentrates in a tiny minority while everywhere the middle class is going under (except China). Marx was right: we are witnessing the emergence globally of an owning class and a vast proletariat of increasingly desperate people with nothing to lose. Until we find ways, nationally and globally, to redistribute wealth in more a equitable fashion, to maintain and actually expand the social safety nets that have come to be taken for granted in countries such as France and the Netherlands, we are caught up in a ‘race to the bottom’ driven by the machinery of international capital: the IMF, World Bank, WTO, national banks, Fortune 500 corporations and the governments they have bought.
The criminality and heedlessness of capitalism is more and more on display every day. Even the controlled corporate media pundits who specialize in ‘normalizing’ this state of affairs are having a hard time convincing ordinary people that this system is tenable…cognitive dissonance abounds. Since looting is the norm, why would we expect the poor not to loot? Obama and his Republican cohorts loot Social Security and Medicare on behalf of Wall Street. Enron execs looted pensions of people who’d worked for years for that money. Looting is the norm in capitalism. The rich loot from the poor and middle class, and occasionally the poor get fed and do their own looting.

For those of you not familar with the Bible I offer
Report thisyou the following from one chapter, Matthew 24.
As Jesus sat on the Mount of Olives his disciples
came to him and ask, “What shall be the sign of
thy coming and the end of the world?” That’s from
my King James version. Some Christian scholars
believe it should read, “end of the age” rather than
end of the world. Jesus answered and said, “Take heed
that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my
name and shall deceive many.” Does that sound like
politicans in Washington? They like to use the name
of Jesus to secure votes and deceive people. Jesus
went on to say, “You shall hear of wars and rumors
of wars. Nations shall rise against nations, and
kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be famines,
and pestilences, and earthquakes in various places.”
We couldn’t hear of wars and rumors of wars until
modern communication systems arrived on the scene.
Jesus continued, “All these are the BEGINNINGS OF
SORROWS.” I believe we have reached the beginnings
of sorrows phase. Things are going to get rather
nasty on planet earth. Jesus continued, “Many false
prohets shall arise, and shall deceive many.” Most
of you folks don’t watch preachers on television
but I do. I have also been studying the Bible for
over 30 years, so I know false prophets when they
speak. Take my word for it. Radio and television
happen to be overrun by false teachers and prophets
who use the name of Jesus to further their own
private agendas. Some of them use their own name
in the title of their programs. Be especially wary
of these types. They are glorifying themselves
using the name of Jesus. Jesus taught, “Deny yourself and serve others.” Is putting your name
in the title of your show actually denying yourself?
I think not. Jesus continued, “This gospel of the
kingdom shall be preached in ALL the world for a
witness unto all nations; and then the end shall
come.” With modern day advances in communication
we have reached the point where the gospel can be
preached throughout all nations. I am not a Seventh
Day Adventist but of all the programs I watch the
Seventh Day Adventists come close to preaching the
true gospel on radio and televisiion. I attend a
messianic congregation which is a church composed
of Jewish and gentile believers who believe Yeshua
is the messiah. Yeshua is the Hebrew name of Jesus.
I attended messianic congregations while in Jerusalem in 1999. Jesus continues in Matthew 24:21,
“For then shall be GREAT TRIBULATION , such as was
not since the beginning of the world to this time,
no, nor ever shall be.” As I see developments
occuring throughout the world I believe we are close
to that time Yeshua(Jesus) called the great
tribulation. There will probably be nuclear wars.
After talking about the great tribulation Jesus
continued, “Except those days should be shortened,
there should no flesh be saved on earth, but for
the elects sake those days shall be shortened.”
We are living in very trying times which are going
to grow so terrible that mankind will wipe themselves off the earth but Jesus returns and stops
it.

So sad to see that so many ‘lefties’ are still totally unable to read the mood of the people. Those who talk of peaceful change and non-violent revolution are missing the point even more than those who try to blame ‘violent video games’ or ‘social media’ for what happened in england this year, Paris in 2009 and most of the norhern hemisphere for the next decade.
People are looting and burning because they are angry, but they won’t be tamed for a good long while yet because politicians of all stripes have consistently let their supporters down. Most peeps with any real awareness of the world around them have worked out that voting only makes the problems worse, in fact letting any self styled leader anywhere near an issue a person is passionate about is a recipe for disaster. The issue will be exploited, the person used up and cast aside as the politician tries to make a bid for glory or at least a short sound bite at the the top of the news.
Rage will out and leaders if required will be found from within the ‘movement’ that is raging. Why would anyone want to get behind any existing politician, since they have all ‘played the game’ to get ahead that includes Paul snr and Kucinich who pose as being outsiders but are just as much sleazy sell yer ass for a vote pols as any others.
As for the so-called looting - well why not? the kids have been told since they could listen that the world is about everyone for themselves and the devil take the hindmost, just as they have been told that their needs can only be met by simultaneously owning as many different contemporaneous consumerist items as possible.
So the kids are going hard grabbing it all. Soon they will discover something that they weren’t meant to learn until they were wage slaves in hock to their eyeballs for five year old consumerist tatt- that is, owning the shit doesn’t give any satisfaction whatsoever. The only high that one gets is the fleeting sense of control a consumer has during the act of purchase. The only way to stay buzzed is to keep buying as fast as possible.
These kids will soon learn that the act of insurrection is the reward of itself, then they will organise themselves around the smartest strategists.
Report thisOnly then can any sort of political ideal coalesce.
When it does the followers will be at pains to distance themselves from any political solution that tastes like anything on offer before.

Never thought I would ever see the day that law-a-biding citizens who already have been forecasting marches & riots for weeks now and are preparing to start carrying weapons if the same type riots as in England begin to occur here. Ruthless thugs no matter whose sons or daughters they may be are no better than rabid dogs and if attacked by either, the law of self defense applies. We are the older senior citizens whose ranks are filled with Korean, Viet Nam and other conflicts, as well as peace time Vets who no longer enjoy good health or physical capabilities to defend ones self except thru the use of a weapon and the committment to use it when necessary. A lot of us had to use weapons during wartime, as distasteful as it may have been it was either kill or be killed; not much choice. The circumstances surrounding England’s type of riots are very similiar. When innocent bystanders are picked out and beaten be assurred many of us will not succumb to that without first taking a few of them out with us.
Report thisWith a Congress who couldn’t care less and would rather go on vacation than address the critical circumstances that ordinary people are faced with I and many of my friends all agree it is only a matter of a few more weeks before the marches and riots begin. The hoodlums, spoiled rich kids and totally undisciplined youth will begin their reckless behavior and fatalities will certainly happen. Police in England don’t carry weapons and until they outright kill a few of these hoodlums; the riots will continue. This coungtry’s police will, when justified, not hesitate to shoot and kill. I don’t advocate killing except as a last resort but there should be no hesitation to send these rabid people to their maker before they send innocent people to their maker. Congress is lucky right now as many people are relaxing somewhere (inexpensive) during these summer weeks and are not really focused on the total severity of our country’s critical problems. Once the kids are back in school and the parents are really back in the work place (those that still have jobs) the anger will rise. School budgets cut to the bone, gas & soon heating oil prices are killing the middle class and poverty level. People are already siphoning gas out of their neighbors cars so they can get to work. Time to buy lock gas caps again. I hear the talk everywhere I go; in Church before services start, in the supermarket, HomeDepot, Leows, Bed Bath & Beyond, local restaurants and many small business owners. More especially farmers who are struggling between trying to hold onto their farms when produce and farm products are not selling due to people not having sufficient funds to buy food products like in the past and extreme property taxes. The horse industry in starving and litterly so are the horses as people just don’t have the money to feed them properly. Some are being turned out loose and let to run free fending for themselves. Rescue farms are completely filled beyond capacity with no public funds available to feed them. Facilities to handle destroying horses for meat have been outlawed by congress so that avenue is closed.
Only one of thousands of serious problems that the American People are fed up with. We are not as STUPID as congress would make us out to be.
Thank you for the opportunity to air what many of us are thinking.
Keep up your good work.

you should know by now Anonymous has proved voting machines are all rigged. Paper ballads with high community involvement are only way to go. Ron Paul will win since PPL are so pissed and Government officials and their backers don’t want to get shot at every turn. LOL
@Lee Oates
True, but there are ways to find out if you’re being spied on. Best is to install Wireshark and learn how to read packets.
Use long range cantenna or small satellite dish for Wireless/Wifi to connect to open AP/s, make sure to setup Tor or some other encrypted privacy software as well. Now see how long it takes for shills to show up or shut down that AP, or even try to nuke your puter. Up here in Canuckland Bell, Rogers and all major ISP’s went ballistic trying to track down Anons. They had their vans & trucks with tracking equipment swarming whole neighborhoods. Cops and other agents doing same until some wise ass started taking tazers to their vehicles and distribution boxes. Shills even tried to shut down every open Wifi within 5km in each area with EM fields.
Videos of such were sent to them with warnings that cops, CEO’s, politicians and even judges were to be arrested under Common Law. Everything went really quiet after that, no more probs.
Now Anons are using Anon AP/s, Wifi relays and bounce servers as well.
I’m wondering when TD will take off all that quanta, google and other tracking junk and install HTTPS to protect it’s users.

I take it these articles are put up here as invitations for agreement or criticism and refutation, based on reason and as accurate a use of language as possible.
When articles come up as “some dangerous thing going to happen”, there’s the choice to agree or disagree, and to state reasons or additional information, citing sources for the assumption if possible.
Articles predicting “riots about to happen here” (for example) raise the danger that in agreeing, the answerer adds weight to the allegation, and to the fear that accompanies the allegation.
On the other hand, in times of uncertainty and flux, it is impossible to predict accurately whether this or that will happen, or not, and when or where. So such articles are speculations dependent for their validity on more. or less, fact and evidence.
If alternative actions less destructive than riots (for example) can be suggested, they probably should be, in order to avoid violence and encourage the search for a saner alternative.
Avoiding the use of real names is a way to try to shield the writer from responsibility for what he/she says. In cases like this, it might be better to avoid pseudonyms and not write anything for which one is not willing to be fully responsible.
The net is a sieve and “hackers” as well as government surveillance agencies are proving that nothing short of being fully responsible is proof of being capable of using electronic communication for the common good. Even government is not fully aware of this yet, let alone billions of individuals all over the world. We do, however, have some evidence that “too much” openness is better than “too much” secrecy. Knowledge is power, and don’t ever forget it.

Cameron’s an idiot - he blamed “bad parenting” for the rioting. Anyone who follows news over the years could see these riots as the anticipated outcome of really bad policy. England was a riot waiting to happen and America is a few hundred riots waiting to happen So far we’ve been lucky with the Wisconsin, Michigan and Ohio protests. Riots will continue to happen in England and soon happen here for the same reasons. Instead of going after the bankster criminals they’re listening to the IMF which has done more to hurt the economies of more countries than any single organization in the history of the world.
It not only can happen here, it will happen here - This time instead of going after the stores that rip them off in the ghettos - maybe they’ll figure out that it’s the banksters that have hurt them, that it’s the very wealthy who have bought and paid for congress…. of course then you’ll see the police out in force.

One of the commentators here used the term: “lawful rebellion.” I sort of laugh at that.
When you actually stop to think about it, there’s really no such thing as a “lawful rebellion” or a “peaceful revolution”. Rebellions and revolutions are seeded from anger and rage against ruling class misbehavior… and they are INHERENTLY violent. This is a sobering reality that idealists prefer to not discuss.
Look at history with a candid eye, and you will see that EVERY rebellion and revolution against a paradigm and/or the ruling class was met with resistance… and some form of extreme violence. The civil rights movement, for instance, was frought with terrible violence… that included the gnashing teeth of police dogs, water cannons, beatings, murders, assassinations, arson, bombings, etc.
You want change? You want revolution? Then WE THE PEOPLE… will have to make all the roads unsafe for limousines and Ferrari $ports cars. Prominent business leaders, banksters, celebrities and politicians will have to be targeted for assassination. The infrastructure (bridges, dams, government buildings, railroad tracks, pipelines, transportation conveyances, power stations, etc.) will have to be targeted for bombings and arson from Joe Stack lone wolves and Timothy McVeigh guerrilla cells. We will have to stop supporting the damn troop-dupes in Iraq-nam… and the ethno-racist apartheid ‘theocrazy’ of Israel.

When there was an urgency to grow, to develop, to open the west the at the
turn of the 20th. Century, corporate wealth was thrown into the fray and
industry grew exponentially outwards. There was work for everyone and a
middle -class began to emerge
When WW II landed on our shores in Pearl Harbor the urgency arose again and
in the space of 4 short years this country not only built a war machine and
stopped Hitler, but in the process, as the last man standing with an intact
country, America saw the great growth of wealth in it’s history and emerged
just 60 years later, as the only Siperpower on the planet. Not bad for a
comparatively young nation. Yet those very same corporations and their
political minions are now trying to destroy that middle-class ... the very people
who created their wealth.
Now this once great country is facing another even more insidious urgency, the
threat of takeover of the country by the very corporations and wealthy
individuals who made their wealth as a result of that last Great War and
continue to do so today in multiple wars around the middle east ... and if we
are not careful ... they could just as easily turn that machine against iit’s own
population ... as other totalitarian regimes are fond of doing ... even today.

Answer is: YES! There will be those lost souls that will riot and then some. And that’s exactly what US government, Oligarchs, super-rich and Monarchy want. Then they can justify all those Trillions in Arms.
Get smart and learn: They have been using Religion, their power structures, money system and media as tools to enslave and/or divide and conquer. DON’T FALL FOR IT.
You have the Right to create your own Communities, your own Money systems, hire and oath Peace Officers, protect yourselves and your families, arrest those whom commit crimes and bring them to court in front of Jury of Your Peers.
You have the Right to expose them [cameras and documents work best], to boycott Oligarchs and everything they created. By default this will send them back into the Sea where they came from.
How? They can’t survive if they don’t have the workers to make and grow produce to keep them alive. It’s a war of attrition and smarts. The people of the world are learning at an exponential rate, creating groups and finding solutions outside of schooled and forced systems.
You can’t fight their industrial military complex and ultimately their 90,000 nukes so you need to find better solutions.
If you’re not connected to them directly by blood you are considered by them as workers / “slaves” / “fertilizer” [that’s in their own words, leaked from their meetings via their servants].
It doesn’t matter what nationality your are or what culture you come from, this thing is going Global, it is Global. The sooner your see this the sooner you will prepare and be part of Common cause = Common People Peaceful Lawful Revolution.
Another words: the only thing you can do is be an example for your kids, friends, neighbors and communities on how to fight fascism.
Their scrip says there will be war / Armageddon starting in Middle East. Do you want such to happen? Do you want to participate in it and be part of it?
Another part of their script says Jews and Muslims will start it, fight each other to almost extinction. Then China will start walking [literally] towards Europe and decimate everything in it’s path til they overrun Europe and most of Africa.
China had over 1,500 violent protests in last 2 yrs. But you don’t see that on Mainscream Media. So you are not alone in the anger department. But China also has the biggest standing army on Earth. Now that’s big problem if you don’t connect with Chinese people and make them your friends.
USA has a lot of enemies across the Americas, especially it’s own people. If that’s not enough US military and business system is the most hated on Earth.
Canadians are no exception. In general we hate Harper, Bush, Obama and the boys just as much as thieves and murderers. They have done more harm to environment, finance, and everything else by playing buddy buddy with US government and corporations than previous 2,000 yrs of rule combined.
Passive Canadians? HA! There are more guns and ammo per capita in Canada than anywhere else on Earth. They might not be fully automatic but most have long range scopes. We are just sitting back and waiting for the big one. And the Oligarchs know it.
So wake up all you so-called Americans because you’re not alone. We are ALL getting royally screwed by the same super-rich, conniving, abusive, habitual gambling, drug pushing idiots. Once that stock market crashes, as it will, it’s the People against the Oligarchs ... Globally!
Prepare Prepare and Prepare some more. Pick a side and hope it’s the right one ... Your life and your family’s depends on it. I tend to think 6.8 BILLION people against 50 Million Oligarchs [with their followers included], maybe as low as 100,000 globally once everyone realizes how badly they got played, are pretty good numbers for the People to win.
Let the Lawful Rebellion Begin.

by Eric Stoner | February 24, 2011, 1:27 pm
“I agree that overthrowing repressive governments and replacing them with actual democracy would be nice. Indeed, it would be great if there was a nonviolent revolution in the United States to oust what is certainly the most repressive government in the world. (This would certainly solve a lot of problems in the rest of the world which are related to repressive governments.) My main problem is only that groups and individuals working hand-in-hand with the US government’s attempts to promote humanitarian imperialism should be identified for what they really are, imperial collaborators, and quickly disowned by progressive activists seeking to promote a more just and equitable world.”
note: Max Boot, is a hawk and outspoken advocate for military force…according to the article. So why would he praise the non-violent actions of Sharp and Ackerman?

As Michael Hudson, the economist at michael-hudson.com points out…warfare is becoming an outmoded form of taking over and owning other countries. It is currently being done economically.
And as John Perkins, author of Confessions of an Economic Hit Man, he shows us how the World Bank, IMF, USAID, and other global financial institutions wage economic war on these countries.
We are just seeing the end results of years of abuses by these financial groups when, just as third world countries have been squeezed into austerity, the rest of the world is now being squeezed the same way. I’m afraid that the only result will be massive violence against the ruling structure. It will fall apart and hopefully, just as the Egyptians have Hosni Mubarak sitting in a cage, we will have corrupt elected leaders and corrupt institutional leaders sitting in small steel cages…like the greedy, self-serving animals they are.

Gerard: #4: I wonder what Gene Sharp, Peter Ackerman, Max Boot, Jack Duvall would all think about internally subverting the undemocratic Fascist regime that has taken over America. From what I have gathered these people are all connected in some way with the exploitative and corrupt regime that is currently screwing Americans out of their jobs, investments, savings, homes, etc. and taking away their liberties. They hide behind fake liberal institutions just like an FBI infiltrator sneaks into a suspected peace group to spy on them…and subvert them from within their groups. For instance Peter Ackerman got wealthy being Michael Milkens right hand man and created both Unity08 and now it’s called Americans Elect…under the guise that they are non-partisan of any political party…and prey on unsuspecting people (voters) with their anti two-party message…feeding on the mass discontent that the two party system has engendered. Do a search on all of these guys and see the relationships, their associations. Ackerman also is part of a right wing think tank that wants to privatized social securtity…as if it wasn’t enough for the Wall Street gangs to loot America with high stakes gambling in housing and banking…they want to get their grubby hands on our social security. People need to wake up as to who these people are!!! Just because they are head of, or even part of, liberal and peace sounding names doesn’t mean they really want peace. They want to overthrow other governments by subverting them from within…because it is cheaper than war…they want to overthrow and make other countries our useful idiots. Makes me wonder if these people are not also trying, and succeeding, in covertly subverting the majority of hard working Americans so that the wealthy can turn us all into serfs or peons begging for crumbs.

1. Don’t wait till “the frustration is too much to bear” and then “erupt.”
Report this2. Work locally with people you know to find out, ask question, get a sense of nonaggressive, cooperative commitment among people who, though they may have disagreements, are willing to work together to agree to achieve a common goal approached in open, friendly ways. Build a spirit of common understanding, not only among friend, but (equally as important!) among opponents wherever possible.
Integrity is a key element. Minimize threat. Be open and above-board. Cultivate open press and police relations.
3. After even the smallest action, evaluate all results, good and not so good, frankly. Learn from mistakes; don’t blame others.
Holding to original nonviolent methods, build trust and mutual appreciation of differences wherever possible. Don’t give energy to angers, frustrations, attempts at sabotage, and discouragement. Move toward the next goal together. Don’t be naive.
4. Study the works of Gene Sharp (and others) in detail to understand why nonviolence works, when it does, and why it fails when it fails. Use the experience of people who have worked nonviolently for change in interracial, peace and justice groups in the recent past. Teach each other. Care for each other. (Albert Einstein Institute) (American Friends Service Committee) (Catholic Worker) (Fellowship of Reconciliation)(college Peace Studies departments) (Alternatives to Violence Programs in schools and prisons)
5. Nobody knows “how to” do these things. The learning occurs in the experience itself. Whatever, don’t respond even to violence with counter-violence. It just expands the problem.
6. Suffering and abuse may occur, but it isn’t as likely to be as ferocious as when violence is resisted with counter-violence.
7. It’s all new open territory. Study present Middle East movements in detail. Nobody can predict anything for sure, All we know is that violence does not work well. It only reinforces more violence. Non-violence is being tried more widely than ever before in the history of the world. Help it grow if you can.
8 Admittedly it’s very different from common S/R behavior, more nuanced, more complicated, more original. Asks a lot. Promises nothing,—except
faith in the future of the human spirit.

How embarrassing for the leftish “Guardian,” sounding more like the WSJ on its
loony editorial page:
“The riots are a product of the lives which the rioters choose or feel constrained
to live.”
Yeah, those damnable deadbeats, and so of course it’s more “complex” while
explanation is too “glib.”
I too observed what I prefer to call the LA uprising and not “riots.” Close-up
enough I was invited to leave one location lest I find my white butt in a nasty
sling. I took, as I appreciated, the man’s advice just after observing some guys
wearing blue bandanas torch a strip mall on Pico Boulevard from the alley
behind, while others were carting out goods through the front doors, obviously
broken in. I returned to look the next day at ruins. (Not that I missed the strip
mall, since who would miss a strip mall?)
Unlike “Guardian-WSJ” editors, I had no problem understanding any of it or rather
all of it. Made perfect sense to me, though I’d not have set fires myself, which
might only mean I’m too chickenshit. Nor would I loot, possibly for the same
reason.
Whether I was or wasn’t, mayhem ended up on no use in the end, as all learned.
Not much has changed in LA since, except more closures, particularly of
healthcare facilities, including many hospitals, especially in minority areas, and more
factories too. And there are even fewer jobs available by now.
Heard today the Post Office is planning a big lay-off (mass firing in non-Orwell
speak). Course none of this has ever or will ever register in Iowa cornfields,
where low-life has been spotted pretending America is really something else,
including Romney claiming corporations are people too. (What a swell guy, huh?
What a heart! Spoiled frat boy!)
Meanwhile, Bachmann argued with Pawlenty over who’s the more heartless and
therefore more American. None of these people knows what a job is because
none has ever held one, except perhaps during a summer off college for a
month or two. Most, including the Randy Mr. Paul, have been living off the
public tit for most of their too-fat lives.
Certainly what’s happening in Britain, specifically England, could well happen
here before too much longer. If so, what will result will be the states’ national
guards cracking heads, unless they get a clue and decide instead of cracking
heads to lead toward some constructive conclusion. (Not holding my breath,
anymore than in the case of the Egyptian military, which I think is probably
more enlightened than our own various military.)
But how about that for a real choice? A real one, not the phony one claimed by
“Guardian” editorialists. Here’s the “complex issues” part in a sentence: A
thieving upper class in collusion with its political employees has been stealing
everything for way too long and then asking those who do actual labor to pay
their way.
I’m always reading or hearing of the nature of human nature, and what I read
and hear is almost invariably mistaken—actually more excuse than accurate
description. “Oh well, just human nature, people acting crazy and so on and so
forth; nothing to be done.”
Burning and looting, or at least burning, is an emotional expression of the most
extreme frustration in the face of futile efforts to make a difference by other
means. Humans are well known to be rational creatures, usually with a
constructive plan. When that is thwarted by the truly delusional and the truly
criminal—in possession of power, ill-gotten or not—what results on the part of
those thwarted cannot possibly surprise any still rational and innately moral
human being.
The powerful always make what is simple complicated and what is complicated
Report thissimple. That’s part of the strategy, and even farmers in Iowa ought (and indeed do)
know that much. So why are they even listening to the loons in cornfields?

Dear Mr. Boyarsky,
I agree with you and thank you very much for writing
this article. Recently, I, too, have asked: Could the
world’s crises hit home? Could such economic,
political and social instability take place IN
AMERICA? The answer, it seems, from all I’ve learned,
is of course. Why couldn’t it? Why won’t it? If the
global crisis keeps escalating, isn’t it only a
matter of time before America is affected?
Furthermore, your article also made me ask myself:
Why are all these things happening now? Seriously -
why? Is there a reason or is it mere randomness?
These are the questions I feel many people are
asking. Today’s world is so interconnected. The
internet, by itself, cancels and transcends national
borders. Everything affects everything. Something in
Greece cannot happen that won’t affect all of Europe.
Something can’t happen in Europe that does not affect
America…and so on.
I have been wondering, if everything is
interconnected and “global,” will this dynamic force
us to change our society? How will it be possible to
live by previous standards when our world is
completely different from anything we have ever seen?
In any event, your article makes me think that it
will only be a matter of time before riots, protests
and demonstrations happen outside the White House or
in front of a City Hall. You hit the nail on the head
by attributing riots to “economic hard times,
unemployment and the withdrawal of government aid,
causing social tension that remains just below the
surface in poor minority neighborhoods until ignited
by a spark.”
This is the same sentiment I have shared with my
colleagues: An economic crisis, in itself, is not
awful. But rather, it is THE SOCIAL CONSEQUENCES of
the economic crisis that are most severe. What
happens when unemployment surpasses 10%? What happens
when food prices are not affordable? Logic, history
and common sense say that civil unrest will develop.
Hence, this is what I’m most concerned and aware of.
What is life going to look like when Americans start
demonstrating, protesting and rioting?
Thank you once again for your article. I really
Report thisenjoyed it. I hope I didn’t go too far off the topic
with my response; your article just evoked a lot of
questions in me. Thanks again. Best!

Riots similar to Britain’s will never happen here. The reason is simple:
American cops are pigs without a shred of human intelligence or respect for the public they claim to ‘serve;’ automatons who follow orders, who’ll murder everyone posing a threat to the property of the wealthy. They are agents of death. They are human filth. It’s no accident that the Black Panthers—an organization founded to combat police repression of Oakland’s Black community—coined the term ‘pig’ to refer to them. That is what they are.
The function of police is protection of the property of the wealthy. To this end they will kill. That is their function: to kill. And en toto American cops more than any other police force have the capacity and technology to acheive that end.
America was birthed in the violence committed by human pigs. That is how it will end.

Napoleon: Makes sense considering the recent paths things have taken. A handy False Flag redirects blame and opens a lot of doors. Nero burned and cleared a lot of substandard real estate that way and so did the Reichstag fire.

Gerard,
As much as it pains me to admit, you’re generally right about everything.
So what to do when the frustration is too much to bear? I know you will try to
offer a nonviolent solution, but they always seem so dissatisfying.
Any answers that seem more realistic than election reform or a more educated
population?
I default to the wisdom that comes with your experience and sound
interpretations of world events.
Sincerely,

We could use some riots in the US. Maybe, just maybe, the government might start listening, instead of ignoring the people. They riots work for the people in other countries because the government is afraid of the people. They rarely occur in the US because the people in the US are scared to the death of the government

A word to the wise: Violence is easily used to justify more repression and more violence.
