Put an Asterisk Next to Rove’s NamePosted on Aug 26, 2007To many, he was “Bush’s Brain,” the master tactician who would stop at nothing to advance the political agenda of George W. Bush. But to a growing number of experts within the Beltway and beyond, a more sinister portrait of former White House political adviser Karl Rove is emerging: a man who achieved his record-shattering results only by using steroids. “The question isn’t whether or not Karl Rove was juicing,” says Davis Logsdon, a University of Minnesota professor who studies steroid use among White House political advisers. “The question is, exactly how much was he juicing?” In building his case that Mr. Rove used performance-enhancing drugs during his years in the Bush White House, Mr. Logsdon compares his record in Texas, where he was an above-average political adviser, to his tenure in Washington, where he became a pumped-up superstar. “In Texas, Rove only succeeded in getting a governor elected, but in Washington, he organized the Swift Boat Veterans for Truth, staged the ‘Mission Accomplished’ photo op, and outed a CIA agent,” Mr. Logsdon says. “There’s only one way to explain the surge in performance: steroids.” And Mr. Logsdon suspects that steroids may have also played a role in the 2000 presidential election, in which Mr. Rove engineered a victory for Mr. Bush even though Bush received fewer votes than former Vice President Al Gore. “If Rove was using steroids during all that, then the 2000 election has to go down in the record books with an asterisk,” he says. We all know weedboy claimed to have served. We are short of people to go fight in Iraq so lets call him back to active duty and ship him over there since that is all he thinks and talks about anyway. Then he can meet up with REAL SOLDIERS who had been retired for close to thirty years after they tours of duty were done and have been called back into active service in Iraq in their late 50s(59 years old for one woman) as seen on 60 Minutes. Besides for the first several years he kept saying how safe it was over there. Send in the clowns,I mean the twins too, it would do them good. They need to learn discipline something their dad and they have yet to learn.

Regarding Waxman’s comment 97173, the answer to your question:
Yale and most all private Universities (including Harvard) have what is called a “Legacy” program where children of former graduates can attend the University without meeting any of the academic requirements if a heavy donation is made to the University. The school will not give him anything less than a “C” and that is just what GW got and he even admitted it. In fact he said at one time “I never learned a damn thing at Yale.” GW was known as a “playboy” at Yale hardly ever attending classes. One student never saw him attend one class period in which he was enrolled. What is even more disturbing is the fact that he was admitted to Harvard’s prestigious MBA program with a “C” average from Yale. That would never happen at a publicly financed state university which adhere strictly to high academic standards.
Report thisGW should have flunked out of Yale just like Cheney did. He also left the Texas National Guard when he moved to Boston to attend Harvard with an eight month period left in his enlistment. He should have by law signed-up in the Massachusetts Air National Guard or the Air Force Reserve there in Boston but never did and was therefore AWOL for eight months. Failure to do so by anyone else would have resulted in the immediate induction into the active forces and possibly a free paid trip to Vietnam. I administered that program as a reserve commander during that same period and had to send two troops into active duty for AWOL for only one month. Texas National Guard gave him an honorable discharge because he moved out of the state; but that did not relieve him of his responsibility to complete his six years of enlistment. If you want to know another story I have one of how a famous senator kept his son from going to Vietnam.

This article conjures up many questions in the Bush, Rove, Gonzalas era of American history. Is it all just a play on American sinsibilities? Does this white house hope to go free because of sympathy from the people?
Report thisI realize the absurditiy of this but let us not forget that Bush has been a great manipulator of the American psyche for many a blue moon. While he’d have the people believe that Iran poses the greatest threat to life on Earth, Bush himself is, undeniably, the greatest threat. He is now conducting politics of terror against his own people and to hell with the consequences.
Personally, I cannot bear watching him on the tube. He is all drama and denial. He has a look of mania about him. He is a leader to beware of for he will lead us straight to hell!

Actually, it was a contest.
Rove against Gonzales and the winner gets Bush!
Heated competition like that can bring out the best ... or the worst in a man.
No steroids required.
Just look at what these two men have accomplished!
Destroying a CIA covert operation. Rove.
Defining a program for torture. Gonzales.
Destroying reputations and lives. Rove.
Destroying lives and ... well, life! Gonzales.
Clearly Gonzales is the winner!
Of course, when push came to shove, Rove pulled out his Ace in the hole.
“Gonzales goes or I’m leaving!”
And he did.
Bush going through some heavy duty withdrawal finally caved in.
Today we watched Gonzales resign.
And Rove climb back in the limo with Bush!
Awe sweet mystery of life at last I’ve found you ...

What’s truly amazing is the way the steroids were administered, rectally deposited doses, with the help of Jeff Gannon.

Instead of an asterisk next to his name, I’d rather put a laser light dot in the middle of his forehead. From one of the target sighting mechanisms on a sniper rifle…
