Bush in Free Fall

By Robert Scheer

At what point will President Bush finally grasp the enormous disaster that the neoconservatives, from Vice President Dick Cheney on down, have visited upon his presidency? Or, to put it numerically, just how does a president descend from a 92 percent approval rating one month after 9/11—the highest of any president since modern polling began—to the two-thirds disapproval score that has stalked him through the last year, thanks to the Iraq debacle, without getting the message?

Two major polls released this week show that the vast majority of Americans grasp the salient lesson of the Iraq misadventure: “Winning” this war has nothing to do with winning the war on terrorism. Thus, the public overwhelmingly supports the congressional Democratic leadership’s demand that the administration begin concrete steps to extract U.S. troops from Iraq. This week’s New York Times/CBS poll found that two-thirds of those polled said that the war is “going badly” and that “the United States should reduce its forces in Iraq, or remove them altogether.” Meanwhile, a Washington Post/ABC survey reported that, “by a large margin, Americans trust the Democrats rather than the president to find a solution to a conflict that remains enormously unpopular.”

According to the Post poll, more than six in 10 Americans want Congress to make the final decision about when our troops come home. Even a majority of Republicans judge Bush to be too rigid to change course and, significantly, among those who either served in Iraq or had a close friend or relative who did, only 38 percent approve of Bush’s handling of the war. In an important rebuke to those Democrat “centrists” afraid to vigorously challenge Bush on the war, about half of those polled criticized the Democrats for doing “too little” to challenge Bush’s war policy. How much courage will it take for wavering Democrats and Republicans to come out forthrightly in favor of ending a war that the majority of Americans believe is not worth fighting?

At first, the public, driven by false claims of Iraqi weapons of mass destruction and ties to al-Qaida manufactured by the neocon cabal that dominated the administration, bought into Bush’s claims that the Iraq war was an essential battle in the war on terrorism. At a time when even respectable news organizations were spreading such falsehoods as unquestioned truths and most Democrats in Congress displayed the independence of mind of cheerleaders, it was no wonder that initial support for the Iraq war was nearly unanimous. Fully 90 percent of Americans backed Bush one week after the first bombs fell in a “shock and awe” campaign that neocon ideologues at the Pentagon were convinced would lead a terrorized population to embrace democracy and other purported Western values.

As Winston Churchill once observed, a lie gets halfway around the world before the truth puts its pants on. But the truth eventually does catch up, and that is the specter that now haunts our president. There is simply no plausible national security argument for the United States’ ongoing occupation of Iraq. That fact was driven home Tuesday when American and Iranian negotiators met for the second time in Baghdad at the insistence of Iraq’s Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki, who was quite clear that peace will not come without the Iranian government’s cooperation.

The harsh reality that the United States must now enlist the support of Iran, the “rogue nation” that Bush claims threatens us with nukes, which this very week was once again accused by the U.S. ambassador of supplying arms to Iraq’s anti-American Shiite militias, underscores the folly of this disastrous escapade. The regime change engineered by the neocons vastly extended the power of the regime housed in Tehran and will only intensify with each additional day of the U.S. occupation.

Yet, communication with Iran is a good thing, because Iranians at least have to live with the consequences of increased violence—as opposed to American politicians, who feel required only to muddle through to the next election. The Democrats and the few Republican dissidents are quite happy to make a show of their reservations about the war without actually ending it. The Democratic leadership in Congress is playing a risky game of pretending to be the party of peace without actually pursuing the budget-cutting measures that would force an end to the war.

While this opportunistic strategy may produce a temporary political advantage, it will be of slight comfort to the families of American soldiers killed and maimed in Iraq over the next 18 months, not to mention the hundreds of thousands of future Iraqi victims. Nor will it con a public that has turned solidly against this war and is determined to hold politicians responsible for ending it.

Although I am not a socialist, certainly not a Marxist, I believe strongly in fairness, economic, political, and social. The reason I believe Putin, Chavez, etc. get such bad press is that they are not in the loop, but on the contrary, represent barriers to the international oligarchy’s aim to rule the world. I’m married to a Latin American. I’ve lived in Latin America and Latins know what the word oligarchy means. Latin leaders know what’s really going on at the level of the international oligarchy, too, while most American’s have no clue. Putin understands this as well.

Even Castro, for whom I have no great admiration, was essentially forced into Soviet hands because it was either that or play along with the international oligarchy, the local brand against which he had fought a difficult but successful guerrilla war. Some even justify his heavy-handed dictatorship as the only way to guarantee against a coup organized against him at the international level. The same argument has been made for others like him.

I think there is at least an element of truth in this. It seems to me that it would indeed be very difficult to protect the goals for which such leaders fought from intrigue organized internationally with every conceivable technological and socio-political device available aimed at upsetting their applecart, with cost being no object. Of course, if you’ve been a victim of terrible personal injustice at the hands of such leaders as Castro, as many of our Cuban compatriots have been, this kind of thinking doesn’t go down easily.

Of course I agree that injustice is never justified. The words themselves make the irony clear. The means don’t justify the ends in my book. The world unfortunately doesn’t function according to this ideal, however.

Maybe not another terrorist attack as a result, DWAYNE, or maybe, but no, the world will not forgive the USA. It can’t all be blamed on one person, either. Governments around the world are now working to end the “American century”. It’s simply all too expensive to continue with into the future.

Climate-change is the new imperative and investing in replacing and upgrading infrastructure is taking over from ridiculous military adventures as a means of profit-making. As far as the oil was concerned, though, that is making Russia and Nigeria and Venezuela rich in the meantime, too.

Maybe “congress will not impeach him or question his dictatorship” is coming to an end shortly too. At present, they are still their own worst problem, though. When they finally realise that screaming about Iraq or Iran is becoming increasingly irrelevant, it could already be too late, as you suggest.

Forever manufacturing reasons to divert peoples’ attention from problems at home instead of working diligently and conscientously to resolve them leaves everybody running out of time to be able to find and apply the necessary solutions. Hurricane Katrina was an example - and more will follow. The bridge collapse in Minnesota is another small symptom of a larger problem.

This President is completely out of touch with the WORLD, and how America should represent itself internationally.  His agenda is obvious (oil, and make his cronies rich & distract the nation while doing it).  He could care less about polls or people.  He will say & do anything he wants and I mean anything.  The sad part is, he knows that (his) congress will not impeach him or question his dictatorship control of our legislature.  Let alone will they (congress) address his belief that the law does not apply to him and his Executive Branch. Congress was quick to allow him to trample our constitution, and is taking it’s sweet time in correcting (if ever) it’s mistakes.  I pray for our future and or children, because of the chaos and pain he promotes, and the legacy he will leave.  What goes around comes around and we Americans will eventually pay with another terrorist attack against us by homegrown or foreign groups.  I hope the world will forgive us for his short sighted behavior and illegal deeds.

Thanks, Cyrena. It’s refreshing to know there are some level-headed, rational human beings left on the planet. I get pretty fed up sometimes with some of the ridiculous, indiscriminate reading and so-called reasoning concerning it that goes on in some of these comments. It’s pretty amazing sometimes...people with so-called education who have a lot of information stuffed in their heads with no real knowledge of even the most basic elements of how to process it for anything approaching reliably valid results.

I say that because, MOST people do – do this. And, it has created tons of confusion. That’s why we have to keep the focus on the straight talk, and intellectual analysis.

And, we have to encourage each other to avoid doing what most people do – this retrofitting and re-writing of history, (or current facts) to fit whatever it is that we read elsewhere, or would prefer to believe, for whatever the reasons.

What I said in your quote of my post stands on its own merit. I’m not defending what any body said, Catholic or otherwise. I’m putting in a vote for objective reading of an article and the ability to discriminate between junk and integrity in journalism.

Anything else is just “I said, you said”, which is exactly what you’re promoting with the post to which I’m responding. I choose to bow out of this stupidity and let others judge the merits of an utterly simple observation I made in the post you so unsuccessfully aspire to criticize:

“...[the bishops] saying that if you’re going to violate our principles, then don’t kill it if it’s almost all human is vastly different from ‘calling’ for such a thing.”

If you really can’t tell the difference, then you have a profound intellectual problem, but I don’t think that’s really it. Yours is a more basic and typical human problem: you have a world view that you retrofit with heavy boots into whatever you read to make it confirm whatever you think. Most people do that. Even when your world view is correct, that sucks. It undercuts your credibility and confuses others who are equally inept at constructing an intelligent analysis.

I don’t think the ends justify the means, even when I agree with you. Regarding your apparent conclusions about my political leanings, either you haven’t read my other posts or your reading comprehension is even worse than I’ve given you credit for.

Good post. I addressed the sincerity of Bush’s “religious” leanings, or lack of it, already in my post #89615. Add to that his one-time admission that he’s a member of the exclusive Skull and Bones Society, which every year holds a celebration with its roughly 800 members worldwide in which they simulate human sacrifice to Molech, an ancient mythological god to whom people sacrificed their children. I suppose that’s supposed to be all in fun, but I wonder how the religious right would view that if they could ever bring themselves to believe it about their wonderful paper doll president they practically idolize themselves because he’s for gun control, capital punishment, and against abortion.

It’s amazing to me that all one has to do to subvert our entire democracy is tell a bunch of fundamentalists that you’re one of them and agree with some of their pet issues.

Johnny Doughey re #89779:
I don’t think Bush’s sacrifice of his reputation is either intentional or martyrdom. He’s just doing what he was put in place to do. Neither those who put him there nor he have anything to lose in terms of reputation at this point and the “master” players don’t care about Bush’s reputation. They’re just going to go for their agenda no matter what unless we stop them by taking our government back. I just talked with a very smart information technology guy who works for Bank of America and he still believes there was a connection between Hussein and Al Qaeda. You read it. I already read it. The headline is a goofball distortion, and your quote, completely out of context, is also a goofball distortion. I don’t like what they said either, but saying that if you’re going to violate our principles, then don’t kill it if it’s almost all human is vastly different from “calling” for such a thing. Their principles prohibit such a thing. Anybody who can read knows that. So the headline is grossly misleading, and if you don’t agree with that, your reading comprehension is nil and so is your ability to place things in proper context and discriminate cheap pulp news from news with some semblance of journalistic integrity.

“Community, Identity, Stability” is the motto of Aldous Huxley’s utopian World State. Here everyone consumes daily grams of soma, to fight depression, babies are born in laboratories, and the most popular form of entertainment is a “Feelie” - a movie that stimulates the senses of sight, hearing, and touch. Though there is no violence and everyone is provided for, Bernard Marx feels something is missing and senses his relationship with a young woman has the potential to be much more than the confines of their existence allow. Huxley foreshadowed many of the practices and gadgets we take for granted today--let’s hope the sterility and absence of individuality he predicted aren’t yet to come.......

“I shall begin at the beginning,” said the D.H.C. and the more zealous students recorded his intention in their notebooks: Begin at the beginning. “These,” he waved his hand, “are the incubators.” And opening an insulated door he showed them racks upon racks of numbered test-tubes. “The week’s supply of ova. Kept,” he explained, “at blood heat; whereas the male gametes,” and here he opened another door, “they have to be kept at thirty-five instead of thirty-seven. Full blood heat sterilizes.”............

–"the operation undergone voluntarily for the good of Society, not to mention the fact that it carries a bonus amounting to six months’ salary”; “Bokanovsky’s Process,” repeated the Director, and the students underlined the words in their little notebooks. One egg, one embryo, one adult-normality. But a bokanovskified egg will bud, will proliferate, will divide. From eight to ninety-six buds, and every bud will grow into a perfectly formed embryo, and every embryo into a full-sized adult. Making ninety-six human beings grow where only one grew before. Progress. “Essentially,” the D.H.C. concluded, “bokanovskification consists of a series of arrests of development. We check the normal growth and, paradoxically enough, the egg responds by budding.”

“My good boy!” The Director wheeled sharply round on him. “Can’t you see? Can’t you see?” He raised a hand; his expression was solemn. “Bokanovsky’s Process is one of the major instruments of social stability!” “Ninety-six identical twins working ninety-six identical machines!” The voice was almost tremulous with enthusiasm. “You really know where you are. For the first time in history.” He quoted the planetary motto. “Community, Identity, Stability.” Grand words. “If we could bokanovskify indefinitely the whole problem would be solved.” Solved by standard Gammas, unvarying Deltas, uniform Epsilons. Amen, sister!
: )

A PhD in cognitive psychology, a notable exception to the above quote from you, once told me something very interesting. She cited a study with a very large sample, solid experimental design, and strong statistical methods. It showed that something like 60% (I forget the exact percentage, but it was a significant majority) of PhD’s in this country had not advanced to Piaget’s highest level of cognitive development, the ability to employ abstract reasoning.

For example, they had to sort a set of rings of graduated size so that their shadows superimposed and only one shadow showed. The rings were initially ordered randomly on a horizontal bar with slots on the top side into which the rings snugly fit when hung on the bar. There was a small light at one end of the set of rings that projected through them onto the far wall to cast their shadows.

Since the light emanating from the source spread conically from its source to cast the shadows, the obvious solution was to place the smallest ring closest with the rest in order of size to the largest in the slot farthest from the source. The majority of PhD’s working to solve this problem attempted to solve it by TRIAL AND ERROR!!!!

Wow! That was just one example of the kind of problems they were asked to solve.

“THE problem facing the world is the sickness of christianity and islam, two strains of the same pathology.  The sooner they are eradicated from the world, the better and happier the world will be.”

The problem facing the world is fundamentalism. Neo-atheists are also fundamentalists, dogmatic subscribers to a belief system that effectively worships the superficial world of matter and energy as ultimate reality. Even modern theoretical physics understands neither matter nor energy as fundamental any longer, or anything like what they appear to be on the surface.

Neither fundamentalist group, the Christian right or fundamentalist Muslims, represent all those who believe in the existence of a Supreme and Conscious Intelligence. One can be scientifically well-informed and accept evolution as an unarguable fact without substituting it for God. The laws of nature may be viewed as aspects of this Supreme Intelligence. Evolution can be seen as His modus operandi as Creator.

Talk of eradicating other belief systems in favor of your own tends to be the view of those who have the basic fundamentalist trait of exclusivity, elitists who think they’re too smart to believe in “fables”, etc. and who imagine that all theists are idiots who accept all the inevitably provincial cultural trappings that adorn most ancient religious scripture in this world. There are some who can see more deeply than this and appreciate the unity underlying the truly fundamental aspects of the great world religions that the so-called fundamentalists completely miss.

There is nothing intelligent in superficiality, whether theistic or atheistic, and this is the truly great danger. It is precisely what underlies a “them or us” mentality that precipitates wars, often ironically in the name of God. The truly big picture cultivates understanding, and is unifying, compassionate and does not talk of eradicating others’ belief systems.

It summons rather than rejects. It reconciles rather than differentiates. It comprehends, loves, and embraces rather than hates. The wise always look with an eye to understanding the source of bitterness in the enemy, which often if not always means looking to oneself for answers.

There is nothing of this kind of wisdom in talk of eradication. This kind of talk, in fact, is the essence of evil in this world, most especially war.

Cyrena and Outraged:

Not necessarily the most intelligent, but one of the wisest teachers I ever had was a retired Air Force major. I don’t know what level of education he had because he taught electronics at a community vocational center. I was still in high school and had already had all my college prep courses. I learned a lot from this man...much more than just electronics. He used to start “preaching” whenever he noticed young, mostly male students talking or acting like typical young males who think war is something heroic and glamorous. People a floor below and two rooms away could overhear him shouting, “War is hell!” when his “sermon” came to a climax.

He used to give us almost impossible and different tests again and again until we could all pass with flying colors, then give us an “A”. We all loved and admired him. He was definitely a person who thought way “outside the box” while remaining eminently practical.

I think there may be some confusion about the way some of us use the word “elite”. To avoid this, I tend to couple it with power, resulting in the term “power elite” when I’m talking about those to whom I referred in an earlier post as having an unbridled sense of entitlement. This has nothing to do with level of education and everything to do with attitude, a most undemocratic one at bottom.

Typically, I don’t see a lot of correlation between level of education and the “power elite” or those with elitist attitudes. Even less do I find any correlation between the “power elite” and those with any credible indications of personal wisdom.

Outraged,

Your point is very well taken, (and I’ve often mused on this myself). In short, it proves what we’ve known all along…it hasn’t been the “educated” among the commanders, or the generals, or the civilians at the State Department, that have been “advising” on this disaster that is Iraq, or any of his other potential horrors to the world. In fact, any of THEM, have long since been dismissed or otherwise shit-canned. This list is long, and goes back so far now, that I can’t even remember them all. But the end result is that while we’ve actually HAD these educated and experienced military personnel, george hasn’t wanted to pay any attention to all of that.

Meantime, I’m still HIGHLY recommending it for ALL citizens. (the education thing that is.) It’s the only way they’re gonna know and understand, that NONE of this stuff is “normal”. Imagine how confused our young adults are these days? For some of the younger ones, this dysfunctional government/society is all they’ve ever known.

I noticed some comments alluding to the proposition that the “educated” and “elitest” don’t know what they’re talking about when it comes to war and the like.  Well, if thats true then we’re in trouble since:

“Certainly, advanced education today is more common in the military than in highest levels of business.  A recent survey by North Carolina’s Center for Creative Leadership showed that while only 19 percent of top American managers had earned a postgraduate degree, a remarkable 88 percent of brigadier generals had advanced education.”

Also:
“The rising educational level is manifest in the lower ranks as well. Over 98 percent of the army’s all-voluteer force at time of the Gulf War were high school graduates, the highest percentage in history.”

Excerpt from: War and Anti-War; Alvin and Heide Toffler, copyright 1993.

I realize this book is a bit outdated, but it does show the trends and direction of the American Armed Forces.  To say that education is elitest or unnecessary in war is to say we don’t need educated, trained surgeons for heart surgery.

To me the first excerpt also shows just how uneducated American managers are.  GW being the first idiot that comes to mind, Darth being the second.

“Whether he knows it or not, Lefty is part of the problem. In a format like this website, his stupidities and contradictions are exposed and challenged. In an “antiwar” march, he would just blend in. So much for “action” and the vaunted “street”.”

First, let me say, I have found I agree for the most part with your posts...however, your response to me is baffling.  Both your response and mine in return, are largely out of full context; but, I have a question: You have in essence, completely negated the Viet Nam anti-war movement with a very broad stroke, with ridicule, I might add.  Was this really your intent?  Frankly, I didn’t care who walked by my side; we were after all, joined in a cause, the same cause I might add.  At that time I didn’t care what else they believed.  I don’t often agree with mainstream thinking, but, generally, I respect a person’s right to their opinion regardless of how repugnant it may be to me.  Viva la difference!

You demean the very thing that ultimately and finally ended the war.  As one who was part of this movement it would seem a great insult, but, I find it difficult to think you meant it as such.  A lapse in thinking perhaps?  In any event, you have your opinion and I have mine.  The street is more important than you realize.  For you, I hope the day never comes when you regret not going to the street.  Further, I will add that, I hope you are correct about this site…one of us is wrong, if it is me, then I have learned a good lesson too late.

First off, let me say it is quite gratifying to see the level of debate and interaction taking place in this forum. Those of us outside of the United States usually only see America in the guise of the ‘official’ news agencies - CNN, FOX, ABC et al - which almost never display the type of critical news reporting that we here in Canada are used to and those in Europe take for granted. As for Godsend, you are right...Bush and Cheney will never get impeached. Impeachment, i.e. holding a President accountable for his actions, seems to be a foreign concept in American political culture - even though it appears on the statute books. One only has to go by history: Lyndon Johnson blatantly lied to the American people about the Gulf of Tonkin as an excuse to expand the war in Vietnam; Richard Nixon secretly started bombing Cambodia - a neutral sovereign country - without congressional approval; Reagan sold weapons to Iran and the contra rebels - breaking a congressional law....no impeachment in any case. Indeed, the only time impeachment really comes to the fore is when a President apparently violates social decorum - lying as Nixon did and getting a blowjob in Clinton’s case. Quite perplexing as a non-American. It came as no surprise to me that Bush II pardoned Libby. It only reinforced the idea that the President of the United States is above the law: not only is he not held accountable for his actions, he can also absolve his minions for theirs. I’m sure if Thomas Jefferson were alive he’d be marching on Capitol Hill with a musket. But it does remain surprising to me why Americans as a people do not get more irate. Here in Canada, the former government was found to have illegally subsidized the federalist forces in the last Quebec referendum on sovereignty. Even though the vast majority of Canadians are federalists, they still found the illegal support offensive and voted them out of power. Thus, I would expand Godsend’s remarks by saying impeachment won’t occur because most Americans either seem too apathetic or simply adhere to the notion that one must support their ‘Commander-in-Chief’ no matter what he does (as long as it does not violate social mores). As for Myronh, I was indeed implying the Israeli domination of American foreign policy, but just because a politician happens to be Jewish does not make him or her automatically a Zionist. But it is nevertheless true that the American political system has been hijacked. One only has to look at your choices for President. The majority of Americans seem to be opposed to continued involvement in Iraq and seem to be in favour of a negotiated settlement with Iran. Yet the two main political contenders - Clinton and Giuliani - both favour staying in Iraq and attacking Iran. How did that happen? Again, only part of the explanation can be found in the domination of the political system by outside elements. The other part must be found in the American people,i.e., how do you let these things happen? As an outside observer - born in the USA to marine corps parents but raised in Canada - you simply seem too believing and trusting in authority. You need to take a page from the French and start burning cars in the streets. Cheese-eating surrender monkeys or no, at least they don’t let their government walk all over them.

They repudiated Jesus as their Messiah and have been in denial about it ever since. They are still seeking ‘the one’ who will now never come to free them. Add the holocaust experience, even second-hand, and that makes their case a very complex one.

Oh give me a FUCKING BREAK!  Jesus is YOUR god, not ours. That’s that kind of disrespect Jews have had to put up with for 2000 years.  A bunch of guys, 100-300 years after he died, wrote a bunch of scripture they KNEW would agree with the predictions in Tanakh and said “See? He IS the Messiah!” They didn’t even get it right because the Messiah is supposed to be King of Israel on Earth, not spiritually.

The funny thing, is that Jesus, if the scriptures are even partially true, was a very good and kind man who would WEEP at the evil, viciousness, hatred, intolerance, and violence done in his name--all things YOUR scripture says he preached against, particularly intolerance and hatred.

I haven’t had any direct experience of such rudeness but I have noticed that I have been deliberately and totally ignored by some men wearing beards and 1940’s style hats (the Lubavitch). There is nothing spiritual about that. To me, they have more in common with the Taleban. Frankly, I don’t care for such behaviour in my own country from people who have recently, or relatively recently, migrated.

How do you know they were Lubavitchers and not Satmar?  What you saw were “Chasidim”, of which Lubavitch and Satmar are sects. In fact, Lubavitchers are usually the friendliest and MOST outgoing of Chasids and the ONLY Jews who proselytize, albeit only other Jews.  But don’t worry: most Chasidim won’t talk to anyone who isn’t at least Orthodox.

Doug, Read a little--you ain’t the one who’s earned the sobriquets “GodShit” and “DogShit”.

You may be intolerant and ignorant of Judaism but next to DogShit you are a fine fellow!

This was on display in the article below. It’s titled “Purple America” and I’m not familiar with the author, Bob Moser, but he really gets to the heart of things, and it is in fact a “hopeful” piece.

(I especially liked the ov-ahhhh part, because these are words being uttered by the Democratic step-children of an overwhelming red state, North Carolina, and they talk like this.)

For this fascist cabal, poll numbers have lost all relevance.  They have in place executive orders that would permit the president to declare martial law upon the occurrence of a new “terrorist incident.” It isn’t just that “this” president will not have to face re-election, but that the cabal has no intention of “ever” leaving office, even if that means a permanent cancellation of all future elections.  After all, what choice do they really have?  If they should leave office, the full extent of their dirty little secrets could be exposed.  The Military Commissions Act could be repealed and all of them could face prosecutions for criminal violations of the War Crimes Act--violations so serious that these fascist traitors could face the prospect of the death penalty.

Unless Congress awakes, and right soon, to the gravity and immediacy of the danger, unless impeachment is immediately placed “on-the-table,” we may be witnessing the last days of the Republic known as the American constitutional democracy; we may be in the same sorry state as Germany’s hapless Social Democrats in the waning days of the Weimar Republic; when a day after the Enabling Act which transferred all legislative power to Reich Chancellor Adolf Hitler, the brownshirts simply turned the lights out in the Reichstag on the assembled deputies, many of whom later found themselves enjoying a free ride to a concentration camp.

Its a little difficult to discuss racial-religious enmities without descending into their mire so we have to be careful.... but frankess is still appropriate. Additionally, some of these people mentioned might have had a psychological ‘deficit’ as a result of past experiences in Europe a long time ago.

I don’t know if you are aware, but essentially, Zionist Jews hate Christians. Its there in their religious history. They repudiated Jesus as their Messiah and have been in denial about it ever since. Apart from that, Palestine, their ‘original’ homeland, was once Christian as well as Moslem and Jew. In stealing almost all of Palestine from everyone else, they have also usurped the rights of Palestinian Christians to some degree as well as those of Moslems. That is not tolerance or love in any way. Their is an exclusive religion and theirs is a religious state as secular as it seems to appear.

What is worse, countries like the USA have supported Israel as being founded as a religious state and at the expense of other Palestinians since the 1940’s. In return, you have been used and now you are being abused. They, or some in particular, have shown you what they are really like. It’s really weird, they almost always assume the objector to be an Arab when in reality most are not. You really get the feeling Arabs must be second class citizens to them.

RE:  #90145 by the 1Sgt on 7/27 at 1:42 pm — How is it possible these people are an “ally” of the United States? Their behavior is completely unlike what Americans would think as acceptable.

======= The US has never been too picky about its “allies” (?) - let’s say “puppets” - to reiterate: to global finance oligarchs (Zionists included), we’re all cannon fodder (Israelis included) - CIA. MI-6, MOSSAD are all in service to this cabal of global finance hegemons - and yeah, of course it’s about the oil and the drugs and the arms and, in particular the oil/drugs/arms-dollar fiat currency.

The real mystery is why the shadow government even bothers to stage false flag provocations - just launch wherever, whenever they want and just report there was an incident, e.g. Gulf of Tonkin.

Answer is most likely that they really do want to terrorize the world. Same with their torture gulag. They know Al Queda’s every move. They run them. Of course, none of the boots on the ground on any side of this know that. So, cut off their heads there, torture them here, keep the bombs coming and the chaos spreading. Eventually, everyone will be begging the hegemons to “get tough” and “keep the peace.” Again, oldest game in the book: PROTECTION!

A. Are you talking to/about me?

Nope. You are out of luck this time. Maybe next time.

B. Are you a Zionist with an agenda?

Nope

C. I’m not interested in “inheriting your wind” - kindly be gone with the wind!

Clever.  Ask me if I care.

Remember the joke about the dyslexic insomniac Agnostic who was up all night wondering if there was a Dog?

THAT should tell you who DogShit is--and it ain’t you.

I followed his philosophy for more than 50 years until my Job took me to Israel. I was there for several weeks and was totally devastated by the rudeness and the cruelty the Jews displayed to their Arab workers. I have also seen this same kind of rudeness and lack of courtesy demonstrated by elderly Jewish people in Hotels and restaurants in the US. I truly believe that Israel has strong enough ties in the US (and money) to control the US Congress. I don’t know what we can do to stop this madness. It may become so bad that we are forced to start another Civil War to remove the rats that are undermining the US Constitution.

Many people are waking up to the same. In fact, the more you look, the more disturbing it is. How is it possible these people are an “ally” of the United States? Their behavior is completely unlike what Americans would think as acceptable.

Israeli Co Is New Pentagon
Computer Security Supplier!

From Jeff Blankfort

7-27-7

“The Israeli company for computer security Check Points has been appointed as the official supplier to the American Ministry of Defense. In particular, the company will supply American Federal agencies with a protection system for data stored on laptop computers. (Guysen.International.News) July 17, 2007

Whatever one may think of the old Protocols of the the Learned Elders of Zion, the protocols of the current elders seem to be working very efficiently. Let’s see. They control Congress and the White House, security at all our major airports, through the Israeli company Amdocs they manage the billing of 90% of US private telephone companies, and now they have a direct line into the computers of every federal agency because one may be assured that if they have a system, they know how to bypass it. Of course, by calling it “Check Points,” that is equivalent to the Nazis of an earlier generation calling their school yards, “Concentration Camps.” Different era, same mentality.-JB”

The problem, of course, Godsend, is not Russia but Israel. The Arabs are well aware of that ....only the Americans are so stupid to believe otherwise.

Fantasising about Zion is the same as the Japanese fantasising about Shinto and the Emperor back in the 1940’s. All supremacist religions are essentially fake and Judaism is moreso than the rest.

Is is merely an artificial construct cobbled out of other preceding regional religions such as Zoroastrianism, etc etc. The have no exclusive claim to “God” whatsoever.

The fact that so-called Christians have allowed themselves to be so duped by having that fake religion grafted onto their own “religion” is already a historical scandal. After all, the bible’s new testament is about Christianity’s founder, not the rest of the garbage.

Waging wars on behalf of a pariah state based on a dubious denial of that truth is pathetically immoral, to say the least. What is who getting out of all this.? Plenty in $$$ terms, that’s for sure! What is worse, Israel was allowed to be created out of Jewish land-grabbing and the Jews doing to their Palestinian brothers + sisters what the Nazis did to them.
