Goldwater’s extremist attitude toward the Soviet Union engendered the “ Daisy “ add. His advocacy of the use of nuclear weapons scared the bejusus out of his contemporaries.
Extremism in the defense of liberty if not a vice is no virtue when the destiny of the world is at stake.
