Born and raised in San Antonio. Participated in my first action when a proprietor refused to seat an African American man and his son in a roadside cafe between Houston and San Antonio. Our group consisted of dads and sons on the way to the old Astrodome in the summer of 1965. Over 40 of walked out when the redneck would not allow our friend to eat with us.
Active in the anti-war movement, labor movement, healthcare reform movement. Currently involved in assisting UNITE HERE with a local struggle with the Hyatt hotel corporation.
I am disappointed with our president and believe that the time is ripe for the grass roots to begin discussion and organizing of a viable alternative to the corruption we have in the Democratic and Republican parties!
