Kassandra Zuanich moved to Los Angeles from Lima, Peru to attend the University of Southern California.
Although she graduated with a B.A. in Communication, Kassandra was always drawn to the creative side of things. She took a variety of courses and excelled most in those related to design. At USC, she painted a mural for the law school, made websites for various departments and student organizations, and served as graphic designer for the libraries’ communication department. She also received a number of awards related to design.
Kassandra was fortunate enough to take two of Robert Scheer’s classes at USC. There, she learned the importance of Truthdig’s mission and the value it places on journalism’s role in exposing the truth. She was offered an internship at Truthdig and accepted without hesitation - it was a perfect opportunity for her to combine her passion for design with her passion for doing good. After four months, she was offered a full-time position and has been with Truthdig ever since.
When not in front of a computer, Kassandra does as much as she can to make the world a better place.
