The Donald Toys With a Super PAC

Stephen Colbert has one. So does Sarah Palin. And now, billionaire real estate mogul Donald Trump says he wants his own super PAC too. Trump, who at one time considered seeking the 2012 presidential nomination as a Republican, told conservative outlet Newsmax on Wednesday that he was “thinking about just doing my own super PAC.”
No doubt the super PAC would focus on one of Trump’s favorite targets, President Obama. Trump has been a staunch supporter of the birther movement, and has said repeatedly that he questions whether the president was really born in the U.S.

The billionaire said that advertisements for his yet-to-be-former super PAC would emphasize how outside forces are harming the United States.
“My super PAC ads would be focused on how outside places and outside things are absolutely sucking the blood out of this country, and this country can’t be great again unless it really starts to generate money,” said Trump. “You can’t fund Medicare, you can’t fund Social Security, unless we start to generate money, and we can’t because outside sources are taking our money. We’re like children with a wallet and they’re just taking the money right out of our wallet.”
