The FBI May Have Finally Found Jimmy Hoffa
Posted on Jun 17, 2013
The former Teamsters boss, father of that union’s current boss, is buried in a field 20 miles from his last known location, according to an octogenarian reputed mobster who tipped off the FBI.
This isn’t the first time authorities have gone looking for Hoffa, who disappeared in 1975. The FBI confirmed the search, but declined to give more details.
Law enforcement officials decided to search the lot after reputed mobster Anthony Zerilli, 85, told the FBI Hoffa was buried there. When Hoffa disappeared, the property was owned by a man Zerilli said was his first cousin. Zerilli is the son of former Detroit mob boss Joseph Zerilli.
Zerilli’s attorney, David Chasnick, told reporters the FBI had spoken with his client over the past seven or eight months and that the agency believes “100 percent” that Hoffa was buried there. Anthony Zerilli, who has written about Hoffa’s disappearance on the website Hoffafound.com, was in prison when the union leader went missing.
