Solar Panels to Add Power to the White House

It’s time someone tended to the pressing issue of how the White House gets its power, and President Obama has apparently caved to special interest groups urging him to take the radical step of reinstalling solar panels on the roof at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. Yes we can!  —KA

USA Today:

President Obama will soon boost the green credentials of the White House, already growing organic vegetables, by adding rooftop solar panels to its living quarters.

The panels and a solar water heater, to be installed by spring 2011, will supply some of the mansion’s electricity and heat water for the first family.
