Obama Unimpressed With North Korea’s Missile-Launching Prowess

North Korea’s missile launch Friday didn’t quite go as planned, as the country’s $850 million (or so) show of military technology fizzled out after a couple of minutes. And let the record show, President Obama was officially unimpressed. Here’s more of what he had to say about it. —KA
Obama told a television interviewer that the North Koreans have “been trying to launch missiles like this for over a decade now, and they don’t seem to be real good at it.”
Later on Friday, North Koreans gathered to pay tribute after an unveiling ceremony of statues of late leaders Kim Il Sung, left, and Kim Jong Il in Pyongyang.
