Lupe Fiasco Booted From Inaugural Concert After Anti-Obama Rant (Video)

Lupe Fiasco, a onetime supporter of Barack Obama who more recently has been highly critical of the president, was escorted off the stage of an inauguration party after repeatedly singing anti-Obama lyrics.
The rapper took to the stage at the StartUp RockOn concert in Washington, D.C., on Sunday night and proceeded to sing his anti-war song, “Words I Never Said”—which includes lyrics such as “Gaza Strip was getting bombed, Obama didn’t say shit / That’s why I ain’t vote for him, next one either”—for roughly 30 minutes.
He was eventually escorted off the stage after refusing to move on to another song. The party’s organizers say Fiasco wasn’t kicked off the stage because of the anti-Obama rant, but because his ” bizarrely repetitive, jarring performance ... left the crowd vocally dissatisfied.”
The Huffington Post:
This is not the first time the Grammy-nominated artist has criticized the president. Last summer, while doing press for his album “Food & Liquor 2: The Great American Rap Album Pt. 1,” he described Obama as a child-killer, Complex magazine reported.
“I’m talking about ordering a drone attack,” Fiasco said. “Ordering drone attacks that go and kill mothers, innocent bystanders, children. Militants too, but the collateral damage. You’re responsible for that, too.”
