Huge Majority Backs Gays in the Military
Posted on Feb 12, 2010
According to a Washington Post-ABC News poll, a massive 75 percent of Americans are all for letting gays serve in the military, although the White House has opted for a slow and steady approach to ending the ban. In other poll news, Americans are miffed at the Democrats, but the president and his party are still outscoring Republicans.
Eighty-one percent of respondents to a New York Times-CBS News poll said it’s time for new people in Congress, however. That same poll also found a majority of Americans favor letting gays serve in the military.
According to that survey, 55 percent of Americans have heard or read “not much” or “nothing” about the tea party movement. —PZS
