Naomi Wolf Arrested in New York

Truthdig contributor Madison Shockley reports that the author and political consultant was arrested after leaving a Huffington Post event in lower Manhattan honoring New York Gov. Andrew Cuomo.

Our contributor says Wolf joined protesters rallying in support of a “millionaires tax” the governor opposes.

Some witnesses on Twitter have said Wolf was arrested simply for confronting police on the sidewalk in front of the event.

We will post more details as we have them.

Update: The Guardian has a post explaining that Wolf confronted police officers who threatened to jail her.
