
The 2016 Summer Olympics will not find their home in the Windy City: Chicago was eliminated Friday in the competition to host the Games and the honor was given to Rio de Janeiro, marking the first time the Olympics will take place in South America.

COPENHAGEN, Oct 2 - Rio de Janeiro will host the 2016 Olympics after winning a landslide victory over Madrid in the final round of voting among International Olympic Committee members on Friday.
