Ashley Todd, the 20-year-old McCain campaign volunteer who admitted that she had made up her story about being mugged attacked by a 6’ 4” black man who carved a “B” into her face on Oct. 22, has been released from jail under the condition that she undergo psychiatric treatment.
Pittsburgh Tribune-Review:
She must undergo psychiatric counseling as a condition of her release, and is expected to enter a diversion program for first-time offenders that could leave her with a clean record if she completes it successfully.
“We just wanted to make sure she isn’t a danger to herself or anyone else,” Deputy District Attorney Chris Avetta said.
