Postering for Change in ‘08
Posted on Dec 15, 2007
It’s hard to limit oneself to just a couple dozen names, slogans and events representing the worst of the Bush years, but that’s what the folks at The Huffington Post have done for a postering and ad campaign designed to promote Democratic candidates and shame Team Bush for its transgressions, trumped-up pledges and abuses of power since taking office. Supporters can buy wall-sized replicas of the banners, with proceeds going toward prominently placing the bigger versions on three buildings—one each in New York, Los Angeles and Washington, D.C.
The Huffington Post:
Three weeks ago, we launched HuffPost’s Posterizing the Modern GOP project to graphically capturing the lunacy of the Bush years. And we asked for your help adding to the names, events, and slogans depicted.
The response was overwhelming, with over 1,000 people offering suggestions (even those with a different POV of the GOP were inspired to jump into the fray).
Graphic reminder: Here’s a snapshot of a portion of one of the three poster designs created by (and sold on) The Huffington Post.
