Second U.S. Air Raid in Somalia

The United States launched its second air assault in Somalia in as many days, according to a representative from the Somali government, who told Reuters: “As we speak now, the area is being bombarded by the American air force.”

MOGADISHU—U.S. forces hunting al Qaeda suspects launched a fresh air strike on southern Somalia on Wednesday, a Somali government source said.

The latest attack followed mounting international criticism of a U.S. strike in the area on Monday which Somali officials said had killed many people.
