A federal judge has denied the governments request to dismiss a lawsuit against AT&T. The Electronic Frontier Foundation is suing AT&T for its involvement in the NSAs wiretapping program. The government argued that the lawsuit would reveal state secrets, but the judge didnt buy it.
“Dismissing this case at the outset would sacrifice liberty for no apparent enhancement of security,” he wrote.
U.S. District Court Chief Judge Vaughn Walker also rejected AT&Ts argument that the plaintiff could not demonstrate that it had been spied on.
