The campaign for his being declared a saint is being helped by his successor, Pope Benedict XVI, and by a French nun who believes the deceased pontiff played a key role in her recovery from Parkinson’s disease. —KA

If you read further back into history you will find both the
hebrew and catholicks with very seriously insidious histories,
where the hebrews were not only genocidal to other peoples but
even their own kind and tribes. And the catholicks with their
dark age inquisitions, wheweee, stinks to high heaven.
Nothing either of these 2 groups of people have done has
warranted the ‘god’s chosen people’s award’ and that goes for
what they are doing today.

The CC is a group that is responsible for ungodly acts of crimes against humanity for centuries. If this man was pope six years ago he was part of the corruption that has allowed untold thousands of children to be raped and emotional devastated as matter of protected institutional practice during his time as pope.
The CC was always about control, money, and power. The mumbo jumbo charade over their conduct is ludicrous. Why people continue to respect them is beyond comprehension. I know every single priest is not a criminal but they pretty much all have to be aware of some child that needed protection with the numbers of pedophiles they have harbored. That’s saying nothing about the acculturation of misogyny that they are responsible for.
Personally I am sorry to see Truthdig give them an inch of space for the CC’s self appointed titles of ultimate superiority. In this case they are declaring themselves “saints” no less.
By their fruits you shall know them.

Saint or no saint what in the hell does this exercise in superstitious nonsense have to do with all of the pain and suffering in the world today? A little history…
in 1978 Jean Paul I died (an Italian)
poisoned by CIA (don’t call me names, look it up)
to be replaced by ... (altho if you recall all kinds of hanky panky in that very lengthy conclave)
(in order to install a well known and already established Polish anticommunist)
(who, out of false self modesty took the name JP 2)
whom the CIA bet would incite labor in communist Poland (solidarnosc) and then some…
and, in the end, all this to topple the commies (it worked).
This is the application of israeli game theory (they’ve been playing the world for decades, nothing occurs by accident [although Tunisia is a real monkey wrench, unexpected and contagious]) to achieve political goals.
And now they’re gonna beatify this guy ?!?!?!
In a couple hundred years, someone will read about this and be astounded at the stupidity and gullability of our contemporaries in the XX and XXI centuries!
