The pope and his posse.

The Vatican is finally getting the message that it needs to get with the program in terms of addressing widespread reports of sex abuse by Catholic clergy members, with the Holy See releasing a new set of rules designed to speed up and step up the process.  —KA

BBC:

Priests who sexually abuse a mentally ill adult will now be treated in the same way as those who abuse minors.

The rules also extend the time in which the Church can take action against anyone who abused a minor from 10 to 20 years after a victim’s 18th birthday.

The detection of and punishment for these crimes - all crimes - should be removed from the hands of the Vatican and placed where they should be - the POLICE and COURTS.

Every church employee, for that is what every priest and nun, etc. are - employees of a multinational CORPORATION which manufactures and sells SNAKE OIL and SMOKE & MIRRORS - accused of improper behavior should be treated as any other citizen would be treated. Arrested, investigated, charged, prosecuted, judged and if found guilty, incarcerated.

What the Vatican wishes to do about it is their concern and entirely irrelevant to the process.

BTW… don’t you just LOVE the little red shoes on the Pope’s feet in the picture above? Reminds me of “Dorothy” in the “Wizard of Oz” - a favorite of gays the world over.

The entire organization is shot through and through with homosexuals, heterosexuals and asexuals, practising and non-practising, just like many other organizations. The only thing wrong with the Vatican’s version of these human sexualities is their almost absolute DENIAL that any of it even exists.

But then, when the entire organization is built on fairy tales, I guess a little denial of reality is to be expected.

The church is under a lot of pressure these days, and it knows quite well that more in the way of Operation Chalice type raids are just around the corner.

One of the most interesting results of this summer’s Operation Chalice is that authorities are now beginning to pursue not only the actual clergy members who were sexually abusive, but - and this is key - anyone else who was aware of the behavior and failed to act in such a way as to safeguard the violated.  Finally.

Good stuff…  http://www.leftista.com/index.php/2010/07/ratzinger/

It should come as a surprise to no one that the leaders of the sky-god cult should refuse to concern themselves with the causes for the deviant behaviors (which would not require much retrospection), and focus only on the behaviors (and those who practice them) themselves.
