Iranian President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad speaks at a ceremony at the country’s Natanz nuclear facility in 2009.

Despite the Iranian government’s insistence to the contrary, the U.N.’s nuclear watchdog group, the IAEA, remains suspicious about Tehran’s intentions for the country’s nuclear program, passing a resolution Friday registering its “deep and increasing concern” that Iran is working on a nuclear weapon.  —KA

BBC:

A recent IAEA report said Iran had carried out tests “relevant to the development of a nuclear device”.

Iran’s IAEA envoy said the resolution would only strengthen Iran’s resolve.

“It will be business as usual… We will continue our work as before,” Ali Ashgar Soltanieh told reporters.

Iran insists that it is enriching uranium only to use as fuel for nuclear power stations. However, the US and its allies believe it is trying to develop a nuclear weapon.

If anyone searches the net regarding this event be suprised at all the zionist hasbara sites which offer their explanation of events sans facts.

My first problem with the the official story is the use of ammonium nitrate.  A nation state like Iran would be using a far more effective explosive brought in by diplomatic pouch.

A much more realistic sequence of events.

Fuck the IAEA! Fuck the useless UN, controlled by the axis of evil! Fuck armed to the teeth Israel! And fuck the US political-military establishment, the only entity armed to the teeth with nuclear weapons and the only entity that ever used them! Ask Hiroshima and Nagasaki!

Despite being in violation of the Symington Amendment our own government allows Israel to have nuclear weapons while turning a blind eye to it’s being a nonsignatory of all nuclear treaties and arrogantly exempt from international inspection requests.

With the weekly threats against Iran by Israel which have continued unabated for years I understand Iran’s desire to obtain nuclear weapons.

Observer, Israel is not a party to the NPT and never pledged itself to IAEA
standards or inspection and never swore that it wouldn’t develop nuclear weapons.

As a matter of (probable) fact Israel either had nuclear weapons or was about to
build them when the NPT was first being promulgated in the late 1960s

yes, some countries have better governments than do
others and yes some nuclear weapons are worse if
they’re in the hands of countries with worse
governments.

Why focus on Iran? Are some nuclear weapons (posessed by other countries) more equal then others?
Nuclear Animal Farm?

Strange, all that is sounding too familiar >
When confronted,Israel insists that it is enriching uranium only to use as fuel for nuclear power stations.
However, the US and its allies believe it is trying to develop a nuclear weapon.

After which the U.N.’s nuclear watchdog group, the IAEA,issued its “deep and increasing concern”,to which Israel replied > we are giving a Horses Ass ..
“It will be business as usual… We will continue our work as before “.

Do you suppose that if Iran wasn’t surrounded on all sides by nuclear armed and self described enemies, along with potentially unstable states, ( including the Empire, its unruly stepchild Israel, Pakistan, and, India), that Iran wouldn’t feel the urgency to develop such a drastic countermeasure?

Just a thought experiment.
