U.K. to Slash Defense SpendingPosted on Oct 19, 2010
The United States spends more on its military than every other country in the world combined. That’s not likely to change, with British Prime Minister David Cameron announcing plans to cut military spending by 8 percent over four years. The last time the White House tried to cut defense spending, we ended up with a net increase. Is it cause for concern when British conservatives appear more reasonable on military spending than American Democrats? —PZS

What’s this ? UK slashes defense budget while Saudi Arabia buys $60 bl. in US fighter jets? 8% over 4 years ? Oh, the fear of downsizing too fast , even as the earth is primed to rush into global warming mode within the decade. And gays would love to join the march to war - it’s so liberating!

Sounds like Islam.

I am sure this news will provide a little comfort for the peace camp of the world. However, the true comfort will only come when the most dangerous military complex in the history of mankind-that of the US- will be forced under economic crises to cut its death industry.
So, in a sense, economic crises bring with them good news at other levels of human existence. Thus, I am personally praying for even harder economic times for all countries that manufacture and sell military hardware. Sooner or later those who live by the sword will perish by the sword of reckoning times, and I am delighted to see signs of reckoning times in my own lifetime!
It’s about time that the evil empires pay for their sins!

I returned from two overseas military tours in the 1970s convinced I had made the world safe for USA elite class and corporate business interests.
No cost is too high and no amount of blood shed by the USA’s commoners is too much to ensure the USA’s privileged class continues to amass evermore wealth and power.
Obey or be lambasted.
Just OBEY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Report thistowards common sense and reality.
Terrorism will be stopped by stop being terrorists.
Banning weapons sales and sorting world population problems by other means, like aid and education, will make the buck go farther.
